Purchased this because it matches a sushi set I got from the same seller. The crazing (crackled finish) under the glaze gives it an antique look, and the green tea color is lovely. It arrived in a gift box (box was a tiny bit worn-looking, but great for a mass-produced import, and box was also rather larger than necessary, the interior space being largely taken up by cardboard dividers) and everything was included and intact. The sushi plates are an exact match for the two in the previously purchased set, and the sauce dishes and sake set will be a great addition.There are stickers on a few pieces indicating that they originated in Japan, and that they are not microwave safe. (I have been putting my older set in the dishwasher, top rack, with no problems.) While I do think that the set is a bit overpriced, I'm so pleased to find matching items that I'm ignoring the high cost in favor of the good fortune.Update: I just ordered this same set again because I broke one of the sake cups from the first set. The quality is just as fine as the first set I received, and the color is an excellent batch. (The color of the glaze can vary by batch.) Very pleased with the condition and quality. This set (and the matching sushi set) wash perfectly on the top rack of the dishwasher.If I broke another cup, I would not hesitate to buy this set again.

I received my order about a week and a half after it was placed, funny when I returned the order it only took two days for them to receive it back. I was extremely excited and had somewhat high expectations based on what was portrayed and described on Amazon. When I got the set the sake server was broken, which I understand this can happen during transportation, yet I feel as though if it were properly packaged the chances of that happening would have been slim to none. The set looked immaculate in the picture online, but the black on the one I received was discolored. It almost looked old and used and I requested a brand new set. The "unique green finish" looked poorly manufactured to me.. under the glossy finish it looked all cracked and just didn't strike me as being an attractive look what so ever. In the description it also said the set came in an "elegant gift box".. the box my set came in was simply cardboard, which I thought could have some part played in the fact that it was broken when I received it. Ultimately, I blame myself for thinking I could find this great quality sake set online! I feel as though the target audience for this product is more so for someone who is looking for a cheaper set and someone who doesn't care so much about the quality and look of it. It just was not what I expected and I was extremely bummed out when I opened the package.

The set looked nice. Beautiful color. Unfortunately, it was packed very poorly and one of the cups was completely shattered. The inside box was not even taped shut and had opened inside the outer box. Not enough packing material at all. I'm surprised more of the dishes were not damaged.

For the price I was expecting something a lot less then what I got. Can't beat the quality and style that this set has. I definitely recommend it for any sushi lover.

I ordered this as a mini-Christmas present for my girlfriend. Everything arrived in perfect order, fast shipping, and best of all she loved it. Would reccomend to anyone.

This was supposed to be a Christmas present for someone and it arrived a day late, making it on Christmas Eve which is too late to get a new gift... Why do I need a new gift? Because this arrived broken! It was not packaged with any kind of protection and thus broke before I got it. Looks like the person I got this for will not be getting anything for Christmas. Thanks for ruining Christmas.

It arrived super fast without a scratch and looked as awesome as the picture. What else is there to know.

Got this form my son for his birthday and he loved it.
