PolarPro Anit-Reflective Brass Step-Up Ring - 62mm > 82mm

Update: Shortly after my review Polar Pro contacted me to apologize and sent me the correct sized step-up ring. The ring is very nice: The threads glide easily and the gnarled texture on the outside is helpful for unscrewing the ring when it's been overtightened.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Originally, I ordered this step-up ring in size 62-77mm from Polar Pro's Amazon store, yet the model I received was 67-77mm. I promptly contacted Amazon and returned the ring for another one from Polar Pro's store. To my dismay, the second ring I received was also 67-77mm. This time instead of going to Amazon I tried contacting Polar Pro directly, however my phone calls were not answered and the message I left received no response. I even filed a complaint on their support site but I have yet to get a response to that either. I will note that the ring itself seemed to be very good quality, but at the end of the day I can't stand behind Polar Pro as a company and will be looking elsewhere for a step-up ring.

Great step up ring. It is hard to remove if you over tighten which can be frustrating but aside from that it is durable and great quality.

Of course other step-up rings are much cheaper, but you get what you pay for and this is made very well. Not much else to report, but I highly recommend all of PolarPro's products. Buy an 82mm ND or NDPL and use step-up rings to make the filter be a one sized fits all lenses filter system.

This product is honestly the highest quality step up ring you can buy. Others produce a cheap metal grinding sound when mount and unmounting but the fluid threading and coating provides a much more confident feel. You are getting what you are paying for. Please keep that in mind.

This is one of the most functional step up rings I have ever purchased.

These pens do no produce the smooth and even fill shown in videos. Good for linework, but not filling areas, since poens strokes are visible.

I started out ordering the 77-82mm Step up right; having been frustrated with cheaper kit step up rings locking in place or sticking to my filters. These PolarPro Step up rings are much more expensive; but the experience using them is entirely different.They thread onto my lenses without any crunchiness; even without cleaning the threads before use. The rights are a little chunkier but that allows them to have solid knurled grooves you can use to unthread them with your hands and not needing to resort to a filter spanner. I suspect that making them from brass helps reduce the friction and stickiness that cheaper steel rings have.After getting the 77-82 have also ordered the 72-82 and 67-82 to cover the other lenses I use. I do rate them 5* as they work and have lasted more than a couple of uses in sun, sand and rainy conditions - without ever once losing a filter or needing to use a wrench.

I love polar pro products they are well thought out products with fantastic quality. These setup up/ down rings are perfect for your lens to utilise a single filter size for all your lenses. They come in all the different standard lens diameters so you can step down as you please. The other advantage of these compared to other rings is they have better grips so it makes it easier to slip the mm on or off and they are aligned on the thread so your filters sit perfectly onto them for the correct light adjustment.

Ein Stepup-Ring 77-82mm aus üblichem Alu lässt sich wunderbar montieren, ebenso lässt sich as Filter prima draufschrauben.Der Ring lässt sich dann auch vom Objektiv wieder abschrauben, aber Filter und Ring zu trennen: Stundenlanges Probieren oder ggf. Spezialwerkzeug werden nötig. Ein Filterwechsel vor Ort fällt dann ins Wasser.Messing ist Bekannt weniger zu "fressen" wie der Mechaniker sagt, das Abschrauben geht leichter.Der Polarpro Ring ist die 2. beste Lösung. Die beste ist kein Adapter-Ring (das geht aber ordentlich ins Geld).
