DC-C10 Clear 10-Ounce Jar

I use these in my biology class for a diffusion and cell size lab. I love how easy they are, and a container lasts me a couple of years. They absorb any indicator you want to try which makes preparing this lab so simple for me. Yay!

Product ships semi-hydrated, but those cubes still grow an impressive amount! Fills the advertised volume.4 stars due to irregularity of cubes, and fragility once hydrated.

Package photo is deceptive. I thought it made small squares as shown but they actually expand to standard 1” cubes! Use 2x more water than instructed and takes up to 12 hours to absorb fully into squares, not 6 hrs. Looks great!I think I received a previously returned item because it was 3/4 full. Even a full container wouldn’t yield 15 qts in my opinion.

The cubes seem like they will work correctly, but I opened these last night for a lab I am doing with my students this week and found bugs inside of the cubes (not just in the jar, but captured in the gel like a mosquito preserved in amber). I don't have time to send these back and I don't see a way to contact the seller for help, so I am writing this review in hopes that they can get in touch with me!The bugs (fruit flies, I think) are difficult to see in a picture because of the way light goes through these cubes, but the little black dots you see are some of the bugs.

worked good, like the balls better. I expected they'd make more like the balls, almost didn't have enough... looked great once all absorbed!

These were great for biology experiments on osmosis and diffusion. They expand a great deal and the square shape is easy for students to measure volume with rulers.

The cubes already are black spotted with mold inside.

My order arrived quickly for my decorations for a wedding. They were easy to hydrate and were the perfect size. I would recommend this product for its price and quality!
