great book. answers a wide range of questions that a beginner hydroponic grower. but keep in mind this is a 1998 publication. things were different back then. with advancement in science plant nutrition has become a very easy task as going to your hydroponic store and getting the nutrient mixes you need. the pest control part is also very helpful. it gives good details about the most common pests and only organic ways of tackling them.this book dosent tell you about setting up a system. this book is for the growers who have a system in place (hobby or commercial) and planting had begun. overall if you are a backyard hydroponics grower like me and you have questions this is a syperb book.

Excellent Resource for the Inquisitive Hydroponic Grower
This is a great in-depth book that answers a myriad of questions in detail. The only thing it is missing is a fluorescent highlighter. :-) This book is not easy reading, but it is an excellent resource for someone who is serious about hydroponic vegetable gardening.
