Adorable but not silent as it states. Can hear a quiet fast paced clicking noise when you are in the room and everything else is quiet.

I got this specifically because of the claim that it was silent.True, it didn't "tick" but the motor ran constantly to smoothly move the second hand. I’d describe it as a constant “whirring” sound that was audible in a quiet room.We decided to give it a chance despite that, but by the end of the first day, that consistent whirring noise was replaced by a much more labored sound that went up and down in volume. Basically where any other clock would "tick," the motor of this clock had to spin up and get louder. I don’t know how to describe it well in writing. Basically it got louder at the end of each “whir”: “whiRRR, whiRRR”That was way worse than a ticking clock.

Looks very nice. However the clock does have a squeaky sound when you put it vertical 90 degrees against the wall. Not completely silent.

This clock is nice looking, but loud. I mean LOUD. No, it doesn't tick, but the motor is very noisy. Fortunately, my daughter sleeps with a fan on for white noise, so the "hum" from the clock is drowned out otherwise I would have returned this item.

I just hung this up on the wall in our baby girl's nursery and so far so good! I haven't noticed the loud whirring sound so hopefully that won't change. It's a little hard to read the numbers but still looks really cute

Bought this unit as a replacement to the 12" unit I had to return due to the hour and minute hands colliding while in operation. This clock is having a similar issue where the second hand hits the minute hand and stops keeping time. These clocks made by Just Nile are total garbage and not worth it at any cost. Quality Control must be non existent as I am 0/2 when it comes to getting a functional clock. Also, these clocks don't tick but make a loud whirring noise while operating.

I purchased this for my 10 year old daughter to help her keep track of time. It has big numbers which is what we were looking for and is quiet. I would recommend this clock!

Although the clock looks nice, it arrived broken (one of the hands had fallen off). I had to spend several minutes taking it apart and was able to put the hand back on but then when I put in the battery the clock would run for a while and then stop. If I giggled it the clock would run some more and then stop again. I returned the product!
