awesome read. I grew up next door to my grandparents who survived the great depression. stories one after another of tossing nothing out. especially food such as milk. to have a milk cow was considered being rich. by the time I come into this world, there was no milk cow for them to teach me how to milk & make cheese. this book brought back a lot what they told me. now its time to put this to use & see how good I am at making cheese.

Good book filled with useful knowledge available at no cost!
Good book with useful knowledge and it was available at no cost. It would be just plain dumb to neglect to accumulate the knowledge in the free Kindle books available from Amazon. Good reference and resource material.

Pretty good book on artisan cheese
Pretty good book on artisan cheese, though I have found others that I have enjoyed more in the past.

Nice history of cheeses by country. Learned some particulars...plus some fine recipes of earrings and concurs...time to throw a party.

An absolutely delightful read of all things cheese. Filled with astonishing facts, trivia and interesting valuable information that you can actually use to choose good cheese for yourself and your own table. Nice easy light reading with many background stories to make it more than a "foodie" book by far. Recommended especially if you travel alot like we do (Vanabode) because cheese keeps good even outside the cooler.
