Multirotor Landing Gear Camera / Battery Mount System

There are quite a few solutions for landing gear for mid-sized multi-rotors. I have a DJI F550 that I used with the Photoship One, for example. The key reason I got this one is that it lets you position a camera/gimbal rig in front of the propellers and landing skids, so they never appear in a shot regardless of how the multicopter is tilting/moving. This was the primary reason I went with this model compared to others tha are similar in design but have shorter "booms" for holding the camera rig. It is fairly easy to adjust the build so the battery platform and your chosen battery counterbalances the camera and gimbal at the front to make a stable-to-fly rig.My only negatives (and why I didn't give it a full 5 stars) are as follows:* The cost of the lengthy boom is primarily weight. This weighed near 11 ounces after assembly which isn't trivial to add to a multi rotor whose lift capacity is only a few pounds.* The clamps that grip the carbon-fiber rails can crack easily of you over-tighten the screws even a little bit. On the plus side, I was able to contact the manufacturer who sent me a few extra clamps for a reasonable price, but you have to be very careful.* I found that the "clips" that hold the leg arches to the bottom "H" landing gear are a little weak. I had a landing that was reasonably soft on grass and the clip snapped on the leg. There's no simple repair for this that doesn't risk deforming the landing gear symmetry or adding more weight.I realize that any thing like this is going to be at risk to a hard landing but I feel the design could be improved by having the legs terminate in complete tubes rather than "C" shaped clips and it might hold up a little better.Having said all that, there still is no better landing gear for the price especially if you need/want to position your camera well in front of the multi rotor airframe. And the kit comes pretty much ready-made to mate to an F550 or F450 so if you are already invested in DJI products this is a great set of gear.

Not worth the money can get same exact gear on this site for 40 dollars cheaper...good product but didnt come with enough mount hardware and I had to modify gimbal mount plate even though it says it's for a zenmuse h3-3d....

Arrived sooner than expected. Super easy to assemble. I was able to attach my gimbal and all the electronics to the landing gear. Easy to attach/remove when I want to fly "sans camera." No more legs and props in my video.
