Great lift for price and easy install
Kit was very easy to put on. I used the Sensen 10060-FS front strut assembly with the kit. Front was ver easy to install, jack the vehicle up, pull out old struts, install new ones. Very simple, i started following directions with the kit and it wanted you to take off all kind of crap for no reason.Rear took a little more time having to take sway bar loose and control linkage. I purchased a spring compressor but didnt need it. I did do work on car lift. Turned out a little over 4” inches lift. My suspension was gone.. Install was about 2.5 hours. You WILL need alignment. Before and after pics

Straightforward but not without a couple small issues
Installed on 2002 4runner Sr5 2wd. They say it won't fit but it does. I paired it with new struts. I did run into the problem that a couple others have had with the mounting bolts not quite fitting in the spacers as well as having to rotate the strut 180° to get it installed. These issues are not covered in thier instructions or videos. To rectify the bolts not matching up I drilled the holes in the spacer to a slightly larger diameter. Just enough that they fit and no more. Rotating the strut wasn't too big of a deal. The bottom mount didn't line up as well as it should have but I used a tire tool to turn it just a hair. Those were the only fit issues I had.I did have a couple other hiccups. I didn't receive instructions with the kit and the video on thier website is so short and quick that you can't really get much out of it. There is an extended version of it on YouTube though. I contacted Rough Country via live chat and they gave me a PDF of the instructions so no harm no foul. The other issue is a small one but still, the shocks I received were not labeled in any way. In all the videos, instructions, and product pics there are decals on the shocks. My kit didn't include decals of any sort. I requested that they be sent but have yet to receive them. All in all this is an awesome kit and fairly straightforward installation is always nice. The live chat option on thier website worked wonderfully well and the reps seemed to be fairly knowledgeable about thier products(said I shouldnt have to rotate strut but then rechecked and agreed I would have to). I buy it again.Rough Country--I still want my stickers! LoLUpdate--after hitting up the live chat on their website the shock decals we're overnighted to me! They even though in one of those big ass 35" windshield/back glass decals!! You can't tell what the big decal is in my pic so I included the one from thier website.

Just a little tougher
Thanks Rough Country. Compared to the other kits that cost more, I'd have to say this was well worth the $250 price tag.I put this 3" lift on my 1997 Toyota 4Runner and it really made a difference in how it looks. This was installed by a small town mechanic that only charges $50 an hour and he did a brake job for me at the same time and together it only cost me $300 for the work, also including an alignment. I say that because I can't weigh in on what it was like to install the kit, only the after effects. But, the truck looks great and came up about 2" in front in 3.5" in back. It's been fun to have a bit more height and clearance but not be too obnoxiously up in the air. She's driving stable and has made driving the 4Runner more fun for sure.- Jeff

Do it
This kit is just as pictured. I purchased a 2001 4Runner with all original suspension. It was useless. I used to have a 97 and always wanted to lift it so when I came across this as a cheaper option I jumped at it. I paired is with the fcs struts that Amazon recommends and I am not disappointed. What a pain in the butt to do yourself on jack stands... It's doable but give yourself extra time and more heat. After the install and an alignment, it rides awesome and better than new! I'm going to add the 1" diff drop to help with longevity of cv joints. I am using this lift for 75% looks and 25% off road so there ya go. Split picture is before and after.

Better off with a Old man emu lift
Driver Rear coil spring has a dramatic sag due to gas tank, must get a spacer to resolve issue.Kit provides more than a 3in lift so be ready for a bit more height. Also be prepared for damage to cv axle boots, lift changes factory angles.

Added that little extra
Was pretty easy to install. I added it to my 4Runner. It turned out nice just need to update tires. All I would mention is don’t forget the alignment you will need. Will update with photos when it’s finished. (Adding new wheels)

Love it!!
Loving my lift kit! It’s been on my 99 4runner for a year now and haven’t had any problems!! The front isn’t exactly soft with the spacers but it’s definitely not unbearable. The coils and shocks are great! Just enough lift to fit my 33” Milestar Patagonia MT. Also in that photo of the front strut are my Freedom Off-road UCAS that are amazing as well. For $300 you can’t beat it!
