Merrell Men's Moab 2 Vent Hiking Shoe

This is my second MOAB2. The first one lasted 2 years of hard use. The shoes are comfortable right out of the box and don't require any break-in period. Couple of things to be aware of if you are considering a purchase... 1) Merrells do not fit true to size. Buy at least 1/2 size bigger. I normally buy 11UK in other brands like Clarks, but I had to get 12UK MOAB2. 2) The Vent is the non-waterproof version of the MOAB2. If you want waterproofing look for the MOAB2 GTX or MOAB2 MDRY instead.

Fit well, comfortable and hard wearing. Have lost count of how many pairs I've bought over the years but excellent as always.

Really comfortable. I have a wide foot and high arches and these are great. I know they aren't rated water proof, but I've had lots of shoes like this in the past (often Saloman) and these let water in like tissue paper in comparison. Even with damp, short grass I come home with wet feet. UPDATE: After wearing for a while they have bedded in. Water ingress is not a problem any more.

A great pair of walking shoes, excellent value, I wear them for work as I’m on my feet for 6 hours, combined with Scholl gel insoles they are extremely comfortable.

Good fit for me as I have wide feet. I've owned several pairs of these shoes.

Yay no more achy feet, really pleased I bought these. They are a great fit and very comfy.

Excellent quality, last for many miles. I order next biggest size for a perfect fit.

I am an 11, but had to order these in 11.5, which is a first for me. It's odd, but even in the size that definitely fits, my tow nail catches something in the shoe. And no I don't have long tow nails and no I haven't had this with any other footwear. I still wear them though, every day and other than that issue they are comfortable. I wouldn't buy them again though.

My initial impression the shoes are very well built for sure can tackle most terrains found in the majority of hiking situations. They will also protect your feet from getting cut or injured by any sharp rocks. However I can't say they are very comfortable at least when comparing to my old hiking shoes. I reckon it's because the soles are really hard and the insoles are really thin, and the (unpleasant) contour/shape of the front footbed seems to aggravate the situation. Hopefully the use of heavy duty safety shoes insoles will solve this problem.

I have found that merrell shoes are the most comfortable but generally one needs to make sure to get the size that fits your feet. I generally order them a bit longer size than some other shoes. The vibram soles wear better than the standard soles. These particular shoes at this price were amongst the best value = Quality and comfort /price.

Buenos, comodos, de buen soporte y buen agarre, hasta ahora han durado bien, llevo ya buen tiempo con ellos y no se les nota el desgaste (salvo un poco la suela en la parte del talon) los he metido en tierra, lodo, piedras, agua y como si nada. Si valen la pena.
