Excellent product. I especially liked that the joins between the segments have a detent on one side and a tounge and groove on the other for added rigidity. I had bought a different brand that only had the detent (springy button) and it was too loose. I brought that one back and kept this one. As to the size and usefulness, I brought this to a outdoor concert for my kids to play with. I had kids from 5 to 65 lined up to play. As to the complaint that it was difficult to put together, you must have either had a defective/damaged one or you have NO mechanical skills whatsoever. Honestly, it took me all of 3 minutes to snap it together. Once you get to the last segment, you simply hold bothe sides in each hand and depress them slightly to get them to join.

My wife uses this hoop as a warm up when exercising. She also has an Acu Hoop 4.9lb sports hoop for a more thorough core workout, but finds this one works well at the beginning of her workout.Assembly was fairly simple. It took a little work to get the pieces to fit together snugly, but once assembled, it works fine.

Easy to put together and take apart. It does bruise me a little bit, but that's the price of a heavier hoop, which I wanted. Overall, very comfortable and I'm very happy with it.

Nice hula-hoop. I can make it go round a few times before losing it. But that's a me problem, ha. It's the first one that I've had success with, limited though that success is so far, so I think it's great. I just need to keep at it! It's a nice weight. It does take a bit of getting used to...it hurts a bit to get started, but that can happen with a lot of new exercise routines, so I don't think it's a negative thing...it just is what it is. I recommend this hula-hoop as a fun way to get moving.

I absolutely loooooove this hula hoop! It brought back childhood memories and a fun way to get some cardio in between sitting at the desk all day. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was it is impossible to take apart and I was really hoping that it was travel-friendly.

Very sturdy construction and easy to assemble.

I had to amend my review because my husband was finally able to get this thing apart so I can return it! The hoop is too light, the circumference is too big, and it hurts. This one is better for someone who hasn't gotten out of practice with hooping, rather than for someone like me who needs to re-learn.

Snaps together easily. Other reviewers said they had problems, but I had no trouble using a butter knife to press the metal buttons down before sliding the pieces together. Sturdy and well made. Just the right weight for a beginner.
