I bought these Due North cleats because the description said that they fit all types of shoes (in comparison to just work boots), and these do indeed fit my walking (Ryn) tennis shoes very well.These cleats let me walk around with little care for ice and a slippery death. One can walk pretty carelessly in the winter months with these contraptions on her shoes, but one must remind herself not to get carried away, as gliding over icy driveways and ponds caused by neighbors sump-pumps emptying onto the public sidewalk can get quite addictive, and these are probably not infall...ible, even though they seem to be.The diamond carbide spikes have hardly worn away even with much walking on the ice-less concrete, hence, faring much better than a cheaper pair with some steel ones that I was loaned. Plus, they sell bags of the Due North carbide replacements on Amazon for whenever they do wear away.I prefer these traction cleats with the spikes to the ones with wires, which make my shoes lopsided and unwieldy. These Due North ones with spikes allow for an even step with traction.

Having used Get-A-Grips for years I misplaced them. In a pinch I purchased some imitation that used coils on the bottom of my boots. The coils got caught while I was out feeding our horse and I fell down and hurt myself. I immediately ordered a pair of Get-A-Grips for myself and my husband as our property was still a sheet of ice.These are the very best and I would encourage everyone who has snow and ice to make this purchase. They will prevent you from falling down and going "boom"!

It won't make you completely slip-proof, but I can walk at full speed over icy city sidewalks with these on, as long as I stay aware. Without them, I'm sliding all over the damn place--I don't know if it's the soles of my shoes (all of them) or if I'm just bad at walking on ice or what. But the cleats make a world of difference.

I live in Canada and need ice cleats that fit over the felt pack boots we wear up here. No way I can find these cleats large enough to fit on them. They are only made for shoes! I have tried all sorts of them and all are too small.
