AssociatedEquipment 3100A Atec Battery Charger, 6/12V 15/2A Automatic, 100A Starat

Any time you charge a battery there is a risk of explosion. Let's face it. You aren't hooking up a charger because everything is hunky dory. I have only used this charger a couple times but it did a good job bringing my backhoes very large battery back to life and a vehicle that sat all winter. A couple of things I'd like to see improved on with this charger... When you switch to amp/hours it auto switches back to volts. Adding two more lcds to show all three would be nice. Alternatively either a cycle mode where it goes between all three or just staying on what ever you left it on so you can glance over and look. The other item that could use improvement is switching between 2a/15a/100a boost. You have to hold the button for a long time. And I mean a looong time to get it to cycle. Otherwise seems pretty decent. Hope it lasts longer than the switch mode chargers that seem to burn out on me in a couple of years...

I don't know why the other review dings this unit as:. "explosion hazard," but it is clearly stated in the manual.Description implies unit made in USA, but labels clearly show otherwise; red label is from the box packaging, while the white label is actual sticker on unit.

Description was deceptive. I purchased this product thinking it was made in USA. Product is made in China. Very disappointing.
