I used this blanket as a layer between my two man tent floor and my sleeping pad. On a cold, below 32 degree night, it did the trick. I started to keep this in my bag, because if it did get too cold, I would be able to wrap myself, or someone else in this and it would do a better job than a thin space blanket.

Bought four now. Two large ones and one half sheet sized. But will cut up for making my own sweat sauna garments. Pants and jacket with zipper opening. This is so I can actually have something that fits me over the one size fit 500 pound gorillas yet expected to fit a petite woman too. Right I've yet to find a sauna suit that actually fits even after cutting off the lower leggings and arm sleeves. The crotch area will still hit my knees. The width of shoulders still meets my elbows or below. Comical clown suit yes...for it's purpose these fail miserably. So these mats are great as they are thicker and hold up much better than the mylar emergency blanket things. And seem to sew well too. Also making a chair cushion that covers the back and seat of my favorite chair. Bought similar item on Amzon with faux sherpa on one side and mylar the other. Wanted to love it but it was to flimsy and way over priced for the 20 it cost. SO with this I can make my own using fleece blanket or throw blankets I have bought for any number of sewing projects. And covers for the chair is just one. This also is going to make a cot mat..two cot mats for a 30 by 80 camping cot. Again lke the chair cover I'll cover one side with fleece. I intend to leave one of the narrow ends open. so I can perhaps find a need for a long narrow bag but also makes sure when washed the whole thing will dry well on the outdoor line. The fleece side for less heat retention the metal side down or up also helps block any breeze or cold air through the cot canvas. Mind you it can also be used directly on the tent floor to help keep a sleeping bag warmer too. One of the reasons I didn't go to a cot and an air mattress for years but relied on foam mattresses and pads hiking and camping is sleeping on the ground is warmer than having an exposed air pocket which sucks up all heat...air mattresses feel like you are trying to sleep on a heat sink and chills you to the bone by morning. Ok...anyway these are good. Mine all came from China direct. So patience in waiting for their arrival is helpful. If you need it faster buy it from sellers who use Amazons fullfillment center and or warehouse distrubution in the states.

Used under our sleeping bags, in 30-35 degree rainy weather. Me and my husband could tell when we rolled off it... and quickly rolled back on it. Greatly increased warmth. We were the only people in the group not cold sleeping. Plus they held up multiple days (so far), and are still going.

Simple insulating product for SO MANY outdoor activities or household uses. I use these for picnics, camping, car emergency kits, under outdoor mats to provide additional protection for my pets during winter months, and I also cut one to cover my stove/range vent hood when not in use to reduce heat loss in the winter and reduce my energy bills. It's just a fantastic insulating product!

I purchased this mat for winter camping. the large size fits my 5x7 tent perfectly covering the entire floor. It definitely helps to block the cold frozen ground. Weighs only ounces but a bit bulky, it's worth its weight in gold if you winter camp.

Used this as a tent floor liner inside to keep us insulated from the ground. A 30 degree night, this piece was important. You could feel the heat stay inside the moment we zipped up. Great use! Plan to use it to insulate my car for car living next year.
