For 1500W Space Heater
UPDATE (Dec 1, 2018): Smart plug continues to work flawlessly! In fact, I liked it so much, I decided to order two of the "mini" type, for a few lamps that, for the sheer sake of laziness (yes, awful, I know...) would be handy to turn off from in bed, instead of having to get up, when I'm nice and sleepy, to go turn them off. These mini plugs were just as fantastically easy to set up (less than a minute, using the Tuya app) as the bigger one, and work just as perfectly. Plus they don't have the bright light on them. I'm so pleased with these products! Wemo could certainly learn from these folks. Original review for first purchase follows:ORIGINAL REVIEW (from November, 2018):So, I tried Wemo and TP Link, but neither would power my 12.5A/1500W space heater, despite their specs saying they could handle 15A/1800W. They would just overheat and shut off. I finally got the TP Link to work, by putting it on a surge protected power bar, instead of directly into the wall outlet (my apartment building has old wiring, but using the power bar as a "bridge" of sorts seemed to be my solution -- the switch stayed cooler on the bar instead of directly in the wall outlet)This plug, however, rated at 16A/1700W, works perfectly fine, plugged directly into the wall outlet, and the heater operates at full power without any issues. Their customer service is also very helpful.Set up was incredibly easy, using the Tuya app (Android) and I had this unit up and running, in less than 3 minutes. Connectivity is perfect, no drops on remote operations. It recovers fine after a total power loss, defaulting to the off position, but not requiring to be reset (it kept everything in memory). Only drawback is that, for me, the lights on the unit are pretty bright, in a fully darkened bedroom at night, so I have also put this switch on a surge protected power bar, and have tucked the bar and switch under a dresser where the light doesn't keep me awake at night.Very happy with this purchase. Highly recommend. I can now operate my heater remotely to save money, only turning it on about an hour before I get home. Exactly what I needed.Great buy!

Works great! Blue fast blinking light & not too many wi-fi plugs plugged in at set-up is secret
This plug works really well!!Be sure to have the blue light blinking fast (by pressing the button on plug for 5 seconds at times until it displays in this manner). Also, when I was initially setting up this plug (I used the TuyaSmart app on my iPhone), I had 4 wi-fi plugs set-up already in my home already. I was not able to add this plug to the app until I temporarily unplugged one of my other wi-fi plugs. I then was able to successfully add this one. I then plugged the other one back in. All are working well.Note: this plug can blink fast as a red/pink light, slow as a red/pink light, slow as a blue light, or fast as a blue light.. Press the button on this plug for 5 seconds and the light color or speed will change. Repeat the step of holding the button down for 5 seconds until it is blinking as a fast blue light. You are then ready to add this plug to either the Smart Life app or the TuyaSmart app.

Best Wi-Fi outlet I own...from Bropang.
This Bropang Outlet is the best product I have purchased for my "smart home"! I had it working very quickly and now move it around the house to test current draw on appliances and test voltage drop to check the wiring in my older home. I have a number of other brands, but this has been the best. It has become a useful TOOL although advertised as a remote controlled outlet. Works great with Alexa so it should with Google too.The 16 Amp capacity lets me use it with space heaters, and I was surprised to find the "crock pot" only uses 240 Watts on high! The plug is very easy to set up and works as noted. Unfortunately it does not work with my in wall air-conditioner cause when the plug turns it off, it kills the main power. Once powering up the air conditioner with the smart plug it resets and starts on fan mode not cool mode. I'm disappointed not in the plug, but the air conditioner. Perhaps the newer air conditioners work with the plug, my unit is about 7 yrs old... Love the plug, unhappy it will not work for what I wanted.. Would suggest plug for other appliances... Would have got 5 star, but does not work for what I needed it for.

As advertised, simple and easy to setup with Google Home
A sleek smart outlet and competitively priced ($16.99 at the time of this post). As advertised, it was very easy to setup within the Smart Life app on my Android phone. I will purchase again.At no fault of the device, my only hitch was when I went to access the newly added device in the Google Home app. The outlet didn't show up immediately. I believe it was a Google Home app failing to update devices from my linked Smart Life account. I unlinked the Smart Life account and then added it back to the Google Home and the smart outlet was then available."Ok Google, turn on my office light" and my office light turned on. Works like a charm!
