Million Dollar Rustic Two Piece China Cabinet with Stars-Medium

Overall, we had modest hopes for this cabinet piece. I had reached out by email to the listed company representative on their home site and did not receive a response. This is neither a rustic piece nor a standard-quality piece. Many of the basic tenants of carpentry are ignored in its production. I do not think the website description of this piece is accurate. Save your money for a different piece. Even refinishing this piece wouldn't save it.Shipping Method: Curb to curb. We received a call from the shipping company, alerting us that it would be best to schedule a pick-up time. Using a pallet jack, they were able to deliver it to our step but no further. Any further request, we were informed would cost us $200-400 to switch to a company that could accept a furniture transfer and deliver it into our house (five steps up).Sizing: I would call the sizing of this piece disappointing and small. I had hoped to fit wine glasses in this and doubt they will fit. Small 8" plates would be able to be stood-up.Glass: Lower end glass that was not sufficiently cleaned prior to delivery. There are clear smudges on it.Wood Quality: Rough, mostly unsanded wood. Mostly constructed out of 2X4's and different pieces show the heart of the wood that distorts the tone of the coloration. The drawers are untreated and have a rough pull to them. They will easily wear over the years.Craftsmanship: The doors do not completely flush to the surface of the cabinet. The hinges are not level or centered on the cabinet. The plate glass is held in by nails. Nails are easily evident.Finish: When we bought the product, the staining appeared to be a honey-colored stain. What we received had one coat on it and no finish. There are areas that have gaps in the staining and build-up of staining in other areas.

Took awhile to get here but it is a very lovely cabinet. I don't consider pine a hardwood. It is not heavy and the picture displayed is not an accurate color. It is not red/orange at all. It is simply made. I am satisfied with it.

I am very interested in this china hutch, but I find it strange that it doesn't say what kind of wood it's made of!! ??
