Danik Hook Spaceage Material Anchor System-4 Pack

These are awesome, if you have a boat you need to have a few of these on board. That said, spring for the metal version for your sandspike or slide anchor attachment to your bow, if you cheat when beaching your boat like I do. Once beached and when I go to secure the boat, I will connect the Danik hook to the bow/trailer hook and then to a line that is attached to my slide anchor. I will then pull on that rope and use the Danik as the pulley if you will. The weight of my boat will sometimes cause the plastic Danik to open up just a bit where the metal clip goes outside of the hook instead of staying within. I blame me for this and not Danik since that is not what it is designed for, however that's the way most people I know use them and I'm the only one with that problem since my boat is heavier. Everything still hold since there is still tension on the hook, but it tidal situations or heavy surf it "could" come off it went way slack and then caught a funny wave. Bottom line, it's a great buy and I always have a few extra on board.

I have used two of these to anchor my beached 24' Pontoon boat this season. Wet, algae, high winds - hooks worked great.
