Great product and easyto install if you READ AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS
I chose this product over the generic even though it was a few dollars more, primarily due to the great reviews. Unlike the other one on Amazon, this one comes with everything included like it says. Having read a few reviews from folks who did not read the instructions, I was diligent, and read and meticulously followed the instructions, which are clear and comprehensive. It took me about 10 minutes to gather up the materials needed (warm water and dish soap, straight edge, pencil, razor cutter, paper towels and hair dryer), and another 19 minutes for the actual installation. This adhesive is VERY STRONG, so you want to get it right the first time. I had to cut off about 8 inches to fit my 2014 Tacoma bed. Once the Gap Shield is properly installed, it is tight and secure. I took a bit of the scrap I cut off, and stuck it in an inconspicuous spot on the bed, and it was quite a battle to get it unstuck, so I am confident that this stuff is on to stay. I will use it primarily for hauling stone and dirt for the yard, and so the one precaution I will take is, when I am shoveling the stone/dirt back out of the truck, I will be careful not to drag the shovel out over the Gap Shield strip, lest I pull, nick, or otherwise damage it. I fully expect it to remain in place as long as I own the truck, but even if I have to replace it after a few years, it will have been well worth the money!

Great product, but causes new issues.
This is really durable and well made. The install was very easy and I had no issues. The problem I have is that while it does exactly what it is supposed to do, which is cover the gap and make it so nothing falls in the gap, it also makes it more difficult to slide things INTO the bed. Heavy items catch onto it, so you have to lift them over there the gap shield. I love the gap coverage, but I am going back and forth on the decision to remove it so it stops getting in the way when loading the truck.

Fits perfectly and has great adhesive.
So far so good! Just installed it today on my brand new 2018 F-150 with the Ford Spray-in liner. It went right on with no modifications. I cleaned the area with straight Simple Green, allowed it to dry using a heat gun (it’s 46 degrees here today). I then used the supplied 3M prep pad and wiped the area just before installing the gap shield. I used the heat gun right after installing it to warm it up more and then used my weight to step on it to get it pressed down. The adhesive is really sticky even in these temps so it seems to be holding really well.I’ll update if I have any issues.UPDATE: Added pictures. Curves nicely when the tailgate is closed.

I really wanted to like this product...
I was so excited to have found this product. I quickly ordered it, and installed it. Installation was a snap. The adhesive strips are great. Unfortunately, that's where my praise ends.I have been doing a project in my yard that requires me to pick up some 1" gravel from the nearby gravel pit. Before buying this, the gravel would go in between the gap of the bed and tailgate when I opened the tailgate. I always ended up removing the tailgate to unload the gravel because it would jam down inside the hinge point gap. I thought this would take care of that issue. Instead, it's just pushed the issue elsewhere. Now, if you are doing a very small load of material in your truck, that never spills to the sides, is just in the center, this will be perfect for you. But for me, I had to get about a yard of material, which flowed to both sides. No longer did I have gravel going into the gap of the tail gate. Instead, gravel would go down in to where the tailgate hinge points are located. See the last picture. Cleaning those out with something small and long was just as tedious as cleaning out the gap between the bed and the tail gate. I think it would be easier to just take the tail gave off again.I also take issue with one other designed flaw. With the tail gate lifted, the protector does not go completely flat against the tailgate. Because I have corrugation on my tailgate, there are gaps. See the 2nd picture. There is no way you could have a tractor dump gravel into your truck bed without it going down into those, and smashing this protector. I saw this as being an issue, so I brought a tarp, to help with the loading. Easily addressed with the tarp...but something I would have hoped I wouldn't have to do. I think that this could have been remedied with a stiffer protector. Mine is a very soft rubber. I really don't care for how soft it is. I thought it was going to be a lot more rigid, and would press against the tailgate when raised. The Illustration gives the impression there would be some tension against the tailgate, given the "hump" in the drawings.

Very happy with the purchase goes perfectly with my F150
I have a f150 2018 and I cannot be happier . I tried before the rok one , and it was very narrow and couldn’t cover properly. Then I order this gap shield and it fits perfectly a quality seems very high and they use the real 3M tap and they provide also a 3M sponge to increase grip. It glues very strongly to the Bedliner ( and I have a spray in ) . Awesome price is good too.

Should only be applied above 68* (Optimal)
To be completely honest I have not attempted to install since I read the instructions first. It would have been nice for the seller or MFG. to inform you that the minimum temperature to install is 20*C (68*F). If I would have known this before I purchased it, I would have waited until spring in NM. Instruction look like the have used copies to make so trying to see a clear picture of how to install is not there,
