i am giving it a 4 in terms of the quality monocular/telescope, the quality of the surdy little stand and cell phone clip holder, which enables the stand to also be used to hold only the cell phone or the monocular depending upon how you connect it, and in consideration of the price. CONS: Using the monocular as a telecopic lense for the smart/iphone camera is awkward, extremely awkward, as the plastic fitting is too loose to support the weight of the monocular and/or the cell phone depending on how you hold it. Unless you restrict use to actually placing the combined devices on a level, sturdy base, your phone could (will) fall & possibly break. Attaching a stand suggests you would be placing it on a flat surface, true, but you may not be able to capture your target that way and you may be tempted to hold the stand to enable you to catch your desired shot. DON’T. Also, i havent been able to capture any shot that doesn’t appear as a small circular photo framed in the blurred black/dark shadow of the monocular. Taking a second look at the packaging, even the illustrated photos appear that way. i just hadn’t noticed. The image captured within that circle was magnified and clear. It takes a little work to adjust the tool over the iphone camera lenses to capture the image. You may still be able to capture the pretty head of a sweet little bird, but you need to play around with this first to get everything set up in advance and wait for the bird to come to you after you are done fiddling around with it. Bottomline, this technically works, and would still have a few gadget-lover uses. The price isnt bad but you may disagree if the limitations render it useless to you. The monocular is sturdy and heavy, which i liked. Just as long as you know the drawbacks. I have not gotten so far as to use the photo in anyway, such as with photogrphic software or aps. I just tested it out for fun. Im still happy with my purchase, but if something could be added to make a more secure grip between the monocular and cell phone for hand held use, that would be great.

Hooking to phone doesnt work but as a monocle works great.

Bought this item to use at the soccer fields, watching my daughter play and to monitor while I am on field duty! This is a great item!!

the mounting for the cell phone does not fit together and some of the little tabs broke. the optics look good but the mounting hardware are very cheap. i wouldn't waste my money on this if you plan to use it with your cell phone.

It does a good job for what it is. The instructions need a lot better though and you have to zoom your phone camera in with it to get a closer pic which is not a problem but it would be nice if a piece of paper was put in with it for others that might not know how to get max zoom out of it and the tripod could use a little fine tuning also you have to have the phone hanging off the attachment just right on level surfaces, other than that it works very well.

I got this as a gift for my adult son. He was able to use a full size tripod with it and take some awesome shots of my grandson playing soccer. The phone camera was able to do the zooming automatically and many of the action shots were very clear and focused. Out of 50 shots, at least half were good. My son had a lot of fun with it and he found it easy to set up and use.

The product is not as described and is not what was in the pictures. I bought this to use with my cell phone but the universal cell phone adaptor and the two tripods were not included. Complete waste of money.

The few different parts are super easy to assemble. The zphone clip holds the phone very snug, I am not worried that it will get loose. I also like that the objective lense cover is attached to the lense frame. The set comes with a little nylon bag that has a belt loop. The bag could be a bit larger to hold the tripod and phone clip, but no big deal.

I bought this for my boyfriend's graduation I didn't want to miss him or the quality of a great picture at a distance ! Turns out this baby is so sharp and clean I was surprised at the quality. The phone at ons are a little hard to use and get the hang of, but the monocular is spectacular.

It doesn't work

Fit my iPhone XS Max with a little maneuvering, good zoom and picture quality! Had some trouble initially getting it set up but after I got the hang of it, it worked like a dream! I think the design was well thought out and it's a well made product. Would purchase again.

I especially bought this for the smartphone adaptor. Really nice to be able to take pics of the moon. I wish it came with solar filters. But it's great and it does what it says it does.

This is awesome! I got mine Thursday and took it for a hike today. Whay a clear sight and works exactly as described. Definitely a good buy. And the monocular is good quality, feels way more expensive. My girl asked me if I paid $100 for it!

I like this product for being able to get up close to wildlife for pics without having to disturb them
