I haven't buy the stuff, but I saw iphone and ipad can control the home, therefore it is connected to internet.What if my home network is hacked?

I currently own a Stargate SG -1 unit. I've had it since 1997. After talking to Jeff Stein at JDS technologies about Homerunner RBI, I know this product is a real winner. I plan to buy one and look forward to all its capabilities
