A perfect fit

It worked
Well It worked. The screws were a tiny bit too big , so I stuck a file in the hole and made it just a little bit larger. Worked just fine after that.

Gears Stripped Immediately
This item appears to be an exact replacement for my existing casement window crank. However, when installing, I had to file the slot in the window frame to accommodate the rivet under the rod's wheel. No big deal. Also, I had to grind off the bolts where they extended beyond the metal frame, which would have interfered with the window closing. Sort of a big deal. BUT, after installing and attempting to close the window, the gears stripped immediately! I went to Home Depot, where I found what looked like exactly the same item, even the same brand and packaging. The difference is that it cost nearly twice as much, and it works. I returned the broken one easily enough.

and easy replacement. Through Amazon
I am replacing all of the hardware on my casement windows throughout the house. The Prime-Line brand is the original in my 50 year old house and is a fast, and easy replacement. Through Amazon, it's at exactly the same price as any of the 3 big box stores (Lowes, Home Depot, Menards). Which is a huge time saver especially in my case, as I live about 35 miles from the nearest shopping center. Plus, through Amazon Prime, my shipments are delivered to my door in with free 2 day shipping. I would highly recommend this brand to my friends.

Pretty sure it is my fault
They did not work for my window. Since my window uses a teardrop I just thought the square would work. But negative it does not. So lesson learned. At least it was not a super expensive lesson. Other wise it was a good high quality handle

This fit perfectly into one of our crank windows it was easy to install.

Good quality and price.
I felt this product was as good as the others I've installed. My windows are unusual construction and I had to shorten the window rod by 1". This can be done by drilling out the button and reinstalling in a shorter location by tapping and installing a 6-32 countersunk screw. After repositioning cut off the excess and round the rod with a grinder. They work fine now.

Broke in less than three months
I moved into a place that was missing this from one of the windows - I got this exact one since it matched, but it’s already broken. Didn’t even get three months out of it.
