As others have written, simethicone tablets are not as widely available in your local pharmacy as soft-gels. Those that are available, and have a pleasant taste (e.g. Mylanta Gas), are packaged in small quantities and cost a mint (pardon the pun). These have a great mint flavor, are very reasonably priced, and work. Highly recommended.

I'm quite happy to have chosen this low dollar alternative. I consider this to be much better because it is quite unlike the store brand products sold at Walgreens, CVS, Walmart, etc.. It does not have that grainy, chunky, consistency, that sticks in your teeth. After drinking water it dissolves quickly and has a more pleasant taste.After this review, I'm afraid the price may increase.

Strong taste

Same as the ones I bought at Sam's Pharmacy but about half the price including the shipping.However, the shipping took much longer than it should have. I don't know if it was the shipper's fault or the USPS, but it took almost two weeks to get to me, which was way too long. So I knocked off two stars for the shipping delay.

I cannot tell you how much I hate this "updated" tablet. Please read on... I've been using gas relief pills for over 30 years and, specifically, Rugby Gas Relief in the greenish bottle for several of those years (NDC 0536-4533-01 with inactive ingredients: dextrose, dipac sugar, maltodextrin, peppermint flavor, sorbitol, stearic acid). I've been very pleased with the Rugby brand...until now. Knowing I might receive an "updated" product (based on recent reviews), I decided to order these and try them. They were received from SaveMax Marketplace in a reasonable amount of time. What I received was, indeed, the new white bottle (NDC 0536-1019-01 with different inactive ingredients: Fructose, Maltodextrin, Natural and Artificial Spearmint Flavor, Silicon Dioxide, Sorbitol, Starch and Stearic Acid), different from what is shown on the Amazon page even now (Jan 12, 2015). This new tablet chewed a bit more softly and then formed a gooey mass in my mouth which would NOT dissolve. It actually stuck to the roof of my mouth as a slimy layer. Drinking water, swishing, and two rinses with mouthwash did not do much to remove this film. An hour later it was still evident. I've never experienced this before and hope never to again. I was so disgusted I haven't a clue if it worked or not, nor do I care. How did this stuff make it past initial testing??? I'm hoping SaveMax Marketplace will honor a full refund. The product page still shows the green bottle.

It is supposed to crumble and dissolve. It became like chewing gum. Ick. Will not purchase again.

For some reason, for several years I have been unable to find the Simethicone chewable tablets and used the capsules instead. I think the chewable ones work faster than the capsules, and they help considerably, especially when you get gas after a meal. Anticipating that possibility, I chew a couple of them before I eat. This is my first time purchasing these Simethicone Chewable Tablets. They definitely do the job for gas and bloating. I have paid a fortune for name brand and off brand, that taste so awful and chalky. These Tablets are not like that, they all but melt in your mouth and no after taste. I consider the price of this item a real bargain, and will buy this brand from now on.
