Taiko no Tatsujin Drum 'n' Fun! Bundle - Nintendo Switch

The only thing I wanted to know before buying this was how long the cord is:The cord is about 6ft long.I'm so glad I got this bundle even though I already had the digital copy of the game! I knew I loved the game but the motion controls just weren't satisfying for me. So I began eyeing the drum set.... And here I am drumming away happily!Having the drum, I can finally play songs on "normal" mode (motion controls prevented me from doing any better than "easy" mode).An hour into playing and my joints are tired but my mind is happy! (The game politely reminds me to take a 10-20 minute break every hour.)Since I share a TV with the family, I mostly play undocked in "tabletop" mode with a USB-C adapter and a tablet stand. This works perfectly and the adapter costs less than $5, so all you Switch Lite users can rejoice! Yes, you can play Taiko with a drum controller! (You can also play with the touchscreen and buttons, but you know you want the drum!)Admittedly, Japanese music isn't my favorite. There were a couple of free DLCs in the eShop and paid ones for $1.50 ish. As you play, you unlock more songs and some are really cool, like heavy metal and club music. The game gets better as you play it.One thing I was nervous of doing was using the legs for the drum. I want to keep it somewhat portable and it seems as though the legs won't come off once installed, so I'm not using them yet. Unfortunately, the back of the drum has no grip so it slides around when using a laptop stand to prop it up. I tried holding it with my feet in bed once and my foot ended up swelling... So don't do that. I plan to find my old sticky cell phone grip for the car dashboard and use it for my drum instead. Then it can fit in a backpack, still fit in the box (for collector purposes), and be used in a better variety of places.As someone who just learned about the game by watching High School Musical China last month with a friend, I really jumped head first into this realm of gaming. So glad I did. Brings me back to my DDR and Guitar Hero days. No regrets.

This game is so much fun! I started playing with it as soon as I got the drum put together. Rhythm games are some of my favorites and the drum accessory provided a new way to play for me. My drum worked fine, but I suggest that you calibrate it before playing. It was working fine before calibration, but I decided to calibrate it anyway because it was new and it vastly improved the responsiveness. Also make sure you hit the drum with enough force. Being too gentle can affect the gameplay. I know it’s scary to think of smacking something so new with force, but that’s what the controller is made for. It’s very durable and large. Don’t be afraid to treat the drum like a drum. There are also many dlc you can purchase, and there are some free ones too. There are enough songs to keep playing and never get bored, so buying dlc isn’t necessary and the playability is hours upon hours of fun.Also it has many ways to play. This bundle contains the drum, but if you don’t have the drum, you can play with the joycons, the buttons on the pro controller, the buttons on the joycon, and the touch screen. So it isn’t just a stay at home game! You can play it in the car and it is still super fun using the buttons (and easier). There are different ways to play so each person that plays can have their own choice of how they want to play, and there are multiplayer modes to enjoy with the family.

This is a super fun game, and I’m giving it five stars despite some issues: one, you need to use headphones directly from the switch if you’re playing on a tv. The audio lag makes it unplayable otherwise. Also, we had a pad die within 24 hours, but was able to unscrew drum and a plug had come loose, plugged it back in and everything worked again.All that and I’m still giving it five stars, that’s how fun the game is.

The game itself is amazing. There is plenty of music to keep you busy for hundreds of hours and has muliplayer if you want to face off against a friend. The downside is that the drums that are included are pretty bad. You have to hit it very hard if you want your notes to register. There are modifications you can do to make it work better but that is if you want to dedicate time to that.

I bought it because I had a rhythm game craving and I’ve always wanted to play this. The drum is very durable and the other reviews aren’t lying when they say you need to hit it hard. Fair warning that the drums can be pretty loud so it might not be for you if you live in an apartment.The game itself is very fun but somewhat difficult. I would recommend buying it if you like rhythm games!

My husband is a drummer so I got this for him for his birthday. It wasn't supposed to be here for a month or so but ended up getting here within a couple of weeks. Getting the drum collaborated with your tv takes a little time but they give you different ways to do that. He looked up online the best way and ended up getting it matched up. Getting past that, it's a great game! There are A LOT of songs and you keep unlocking more, just be aware that they are Chinese/Japanese type music. They have them in different categories though so games, anime, classical, kpop, but for the most part it's that upbeat fast type music and not in English. I only knew a few songs, but once you play them a few times you get the hang of it. Overall, it's a really fun game!

This is a fun game. The drum is responsive and I don’t mind the songs. Just make sure to calibrate your drums in the settings first or it might not register your hits correctly.

I have played rhythm games before and find them enjoyable, however if I have a pretty bad day or I am angry I can go and play this game, and it calms me down. Plus they got some pretty nice songs but since I don't know Japanese I can't understand what they are saying, but they have Touhou, Vocaloid, and Anime songs in there. Overall game is pretty fun and enjoyable

The product is exactly as advertised. The Taiko game for Switch and the official drum. Works fine on my Switch in Canada and the drum works OK on PC with a bit of software rebinding.

This game is fun. But it gets repetitive and to get more songs you have to buy them with money I would recommend if it would be fun for ages but it only last for a few weeks before becoming too repetitive

Es basta te bueno pero en cuanto a las canciónes o melodias no es lo que esperaba. La dificultad lo es todo es bastante retador.

Originally got this as a gift but I've slowly procured it for myself. Siblings love it. The game is weird with ridiculous animations in the most charming way and you can't help but be drawn to the hype of the beat. You can play multiplayer with the Switch Controllers to join in together with friends or family. Now I have no discernible talents but this is one thing I absolutely can shine at. Drum smashing. 10/10.
