Buyers be warned!
I have never written a negative review ever in my life. However amazon and this seller has forced me to write this.My mother ( 70 years old), bought this medical belt. She has been using belts from this company for 4-5 years now. However in the past she always bought these directly from the company. Assuming that all will be the same on amazon too she order an xl size for herself, as that was the size she was using earlier. When this belt arrived, it was thinner, a little less supportive and the design was slightly changed. This design was not as good as the previous one, but it still did it’s job. However because of the change in design the xl was too big for her.She got in touch with the seller and got an email immediately saying that he would be happy to change the size of the belt as long as she posted the belt back. Once they receive the belt they would post the new one. All this was very reasonable until and unless you came to the part where he said that when she filled the part for value of goods she should write $100- instead of the $268 that she had paid. This he said would help with quick customs clearance. She was obviously uncomfortable about doing this as she did not want to Waive off her claim to the real value of the belt in case of loosing it in transit. It also seemed really unethical. We called amazon and they could also see what the seller had written. They assured us that this was indeed unethical and they would put in a claim and the whole value of the belt would be reimbursed to us. As this was an item of medical necessity we said that we would want to order a new belt in the large size . And the representative assured us not to worry and reassured us that the money for the other belt would definitely be reimbursed. But after 4 phone calls of half an hour each and explaining the issue over and over again, we are still waiting for our $268 to be reimbursed. I was told the first two times that it will be reimbursed in 48 hours. One and a half month later and we are still waiting!My mother is unable to understand why she is not being reimbursed and feels really harassed each time she has to explain. I am really urging amazon to resolve this and not harass an elderly person any more.
