Man, time has not been fair to this game! Simply put, this is not as easy nor as fun as the original NBA Jam, which one could easily download and play on just about any format. The graphics are terrible, and you can tell they tried to make this one better than the original, which they really are not. I picked this one up since I just picked up a PS1 for old times' sake. The rosters are the game's saving grace. Funny this is, try playing with Kobe Bryant and see how weak his attributes are. Whodathunk he would go on to become the G.O.A.T.? Apparently not Acclaim!

When your on fire the ai would repeatly foul you until they get ball or when the busier the ai would stand in front of you foul and that's all they do this game sucks 2k is 10x better

I played NBAJAM on the game gear and in the arcade ALOT back in the day, seeing as they were finally putting a new version out I somehow decided to see what was available from the past. NBA JAM EXTREME offers rosters current as of SEPT 11 1996. So you get old teams SONICS, BULLETS, and you get some classic players STARKS, PAYTON etc... The gameplay is as smooth as the dated hardware would allow it to be, and shooting is more finicky than other versions. The graphics aren't anything to get sad or happy about they simply work. The big blocks, sky scraping dunks and hilarious celebrations are present and all seems well until you realize that you are going to sitting through over a minute of load screens throughout a game. The hidden teams and players are here and the new extreme button is just TURBOX2. Simple fun old school basketball that will run on your PS3.
