BEST GUT BOOK EVER!
I absolutely LOVE this book. First of all, the way its set out is SO easy to read. The Dr has done SO much research into this book on all the many layers of gut health. I am absolutely loving reading this but only wished I had found it when it first came out. I would have saved myself a whole lot of misery. I cant wait to take the advice from this book and implement it. EVERYONE should have a copy of this book!

I found this book very informative and helpful. I ...
I found this book very informative and helpful. I read carefullyhis Wrap Up at the back of the book, and then skimmed thebook itself. It is a scholarly presentation of many other writingson the subject.

It's okay - technical language
The book is basically good if you don't mind a lot of technical/medical language that you have to look up. The first half is a survey of the topic, and the last half goes into more detail about what can be done ... and it refers to one of his other books. Not an easy read, although it is helpful.

Fire in the Belly
This is a really indepth book about what goes on in the stomach and it sure opened up my eyes. Never would I have dreamed what diseases are caused from what we eat. Some of it is hard for a lay person to understand but I understood enough to know that I am going to do something about it.

Very Helpful
I appreciated Keith's insights into gut inflammation causing brain malfunction. That common foods can be the causative agent for gut inflammation and consequent brain malfunction. I did not appreciate that he downplays holistic health as many times an unproven field of endeavor. His attitude towards the need for laboratory proof of the veracity of natural means, ignores the fact that he himself came to his own conclusions via observation of the effects of certain foods on peoples behavior. I'm a strong believer that ones own power of observation is frequently all that is needed to determine the best course of action regarding diet and supplementation.

Fantastic information but shame about the proofing!
I thoroughly enjoyed the information in this book, but I can only give it 3 stars because of the multitude of mistakes in spelling, grammer and even some information. It really spoilt the book. My thoughts were "If you can't get those right what else is wrong?" It seemed to me to be a rushed job.
