I bought a oh meter... it was unreliable, and I couldn’t get it calibrated. Returned the meter and bought this for less than $5.Worked very well and super quickly: I was able to test it with my tap water, citric acid solution, and milk acid mix for making homemade mozzarella cheese. Took less than a second to get results: dip strip in liquid, and immediately pull out and compare against the color chart on the case. My fresh mozzarella turned out perfectly thanks to this ph test strip.

Limit the use of this for testing kombucha or maybe other brewed liquids. It is not intended for water or anything with a PH over 5.5. Within that range of .5 to 5.5 it's very reliable and easy to use. Highly recommended.

I bought this to determine the pH of Marmalade that I was canning.It seems to work well, although I have no point of reference to establish accuracy. I did not want to go to the trouble of using a pH meter with their accompanying calibration and maintenance issues.The color breakdown seems to accurately establish pH within 0.5, and the number of steps are distinctive enough that I feel comfortable using it. I did not feel the 14 step papers were accurate enough, and this reduced range is perfect for my needs.The little door that the tape comes through can sometimes be problematic, but I think it just takes some getting used to. I have had to fish the tape out a couple of times.Overall, I would say this is an inexpensive, fast-acting and easy-to-use solution for establishing pH within the mentioned range.

This has an easy twist open container with a tear off edge for the paper. It keeps a good length of the paper held in the guide (as seen in the photo) at fully closed position, so the end won't fall back inside. Very easy to read in my experience.

Got into making hotsauce form peppers from my garden, and wanted to make sure they are at the right pH for preservation. works well so far, I dont have anything else to test the accuracy of the paper, but I'm sure its good enough for something like this.I like the holder alot. its set up in a way where you never loose the paper in the holder. twist it to lock in place and take piece out, and it leaves a bit of tape left so you can always pull more out.Only con is it gives you a green thumb(hopefully it'll make my garden better). I'm just gonna wear gloves next time.also came within half a day which was nice.

I don't know how accurate this strip is. I use it to test on store-bought apple cider vinegar and my homemade version, the taste of the store-bought was a little more acidy by taste, with the same level of pH.It takes a little technic to keep a small tip out of the roll as a pulling point for the next use. Other than that, I say this is a good product at good price.

Bought these to test fermentation progress for home-brew sauerkraut and other salt/brine pickling. Need the acidic side of the pH scale in increments of at least 0.5 ... and that's what these strip provide. The color chart on the container is perfect, and the dispenser works fine (a little fiddly, but workable).Overall, a perfectly fit product for this purpose and the price point and value (generous quantity) makes me a very satisfied customer.

Loved the concept, but this product is cheaply made and so the design failed. The paper used is very thin that you can easily tear while trying to get them out of the wheel. The wheel is made of a very cheap plastic and does not roll smoothly. The cheap materials ruined a good design. Will not purchase again

I bought this to test the acidity of my Kambucha. The cost was reasonable and it did the job!

I liked that it was more precise than my old litmus paper for testing the acidity of my various fermented veg. It went in 0.5 increments. The colours were easier to gauge too. I would recommend

I am a skincare junkie. I have a lot of acid skincare products, some of them I’m not sure even have the correct Ph to work, so I purchased this to test them.Works like a charm.It’s a little fiddly to use and I think it’s overly priced.

It's almost 1/2 inch wide & you get 198 inches in the roll. Plus it's in a black plastic reel so it’s away from sunlight.The 'other' company has it in clear plastic reel, only 180 inches & $12 more.I would definitely pick this Bartovation Company one.
