because on the used the batteries are pretty much used up
This solar battery helps my camera. Purchase it brand new and do not purchase it used, because on the used the batteries are pretty much used up. My cameras have been out for a year and the batteries are still good. I made my own security case out of 1/4 inch still, welder as hobbyist, and made stands for these attached to the case. Excellent.

Whole system needs work!
Never would charge the camera! But then again the camera would never stay working long enough for me to know for sure!
