The Weather Book (Wonders of Creation)

This text has numerous photographs and illustrations. The text is a little cumbersome for some readers. It does provide opportunities for enriching scientific vocabulary. As homeschoolers, our family is using this text together with several others. This definitely shouldn't be the text of choice for very small children, but it is ideal for older, more experienced readers/scientists.

The Weather book was in wonderful condition with no markings. The price was so low too! What a deal.

I was actually looking for a one-inch thick book by the same author, but could not find it on your web site; therefore, I did not get the gift I really wanted for a select party. I know the book exists because I ordered it several years ago when it first came out (copyright 1997, I beleve)

I bought this for my 8 year old grandson who has shown a keen interest in learning about the weather. He is really enjoying this book. I am glad I purchased it for him

Extreme religious base to a science topic. Part of a curriculum so I purchased but had hoped for much less religious base. Will definitely not keep this in the library. Does seem to be pretty comprehensive in coverage. This probably will be true of entire series. Purchaser needs to decide if this is what they want to read, some will love it others won't (which is probably true of a lot of things).Examples:Thunderstorms section "But, the Bible says that all nature groans for God's redemption. Nature is a little out of whack as the result of sin after Adam and Eve rebelled against God. Yet, even dangerous storms can give us a hint of God's power."Water in the atmosphere: "In God's plan of creation He set up scientific processes that sustain His creation. These processes include the global water cycle."Chapters on Introduction (reads like a sermon), God Created (world and all in it exactly in the right place/amount), Noah's Flood, Ice Age (caused by the flood), God Creation and You (environmentalism).

Great book

I was excited about this book for my homeschool weather study this year. But, unfortunately, in reminds me of the boring 'read the chapter-answer the questions' textbooks from my public school days. We aren't even using it. There is much better stuff out there.
