Deluxe SCRABBLE with Rotating Board, Protective Covering

There are many Scrabble variations but few match the durability and ease of play as the '70s and '80s deluxe versions. The plastic overlay keeps the tiles firmly in place - an absolute necessity for a frustration free Scrabble experience. I've seen several other boards with raised cardboard ridges that don't really hold the tiles in place and some with no ridges at all (how does anyone play that?). None come close to the old deluxe versions, which is why I bought this one. I recommend getting one of these classic versions to all serious Scrabble players.

It took a while to ship but it was definitely worth the wait. This game brings back great memories. We had this same version of scrabble when I was growing up and I remember playing it during our family time. This was a great deal and it arrived in perfect condition. I am so excited to play this with my daughter. Thank you.

I had been looking for a Selchow & Righter turntable set for a while to replace the one I let my daughter take when she moved to her own place. So I jumped on this one which was advertised by a marketplace reseller as "never been used." The bad news was that it had obviously been heavily used (box battered and taped up, board cracked in five places, missing several tiles, used score pad.) The good news is that because I had used Amazon's 1-click service, I was able to return the set and get my money back, including shipping. I have since bought an inexpensive new set, which--though glitzy--doesn't measure up to the old ones in quality and features. So if you can find an old set, buy it...but not unless you use the 1-click service.

I love this version of Scrabble and my family and I play frequently. The table doesn't turn too well, but it's still a superior model and since it's a vintage set, I consider myself fortunate to have found one. Great seller!
