BudKups Generation 3.0, Loading Capsule for PAX 2 and PAX 3, Screen Alternatives

These are AWESOME!!So nice to have cartridges that I can pre-fill. Makes my Pax 3 so much more convenient and clean! Especially great to be able to switch between strains quickly and easily.I know pax oven sizes vary but these fit mine perfectly. The company did provide instructions on how to file the Budkups down if necessary though. I never had to jam them in and the only sticking I have encountered was due to resin. However, it’s very easy to go through the top of the pax to push them out the bottom with a pipe-cleaner. I’ve seen other reviews stick knives into their pax to try and pry the budkup out, which is just ludicrous.They feel of high quality and I have cleaned them with isopropyl alcohol encountering no issues.I don’t think I could go back to using my pax without these!

2021 Update: I have now ordered these 5 times! Love them. Keeps my Pax cleaner and the removal tool is a game changer! I also recompensed the BudKup case. I was using a recycle Altoids mini tin, but they bounced around and lost fill. I sue varying product for varying needs and having multiple Kups/Cases helps me organize day vs night med. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Gia also offers excellant service should the need arise.Fits very well in Pax3, a little loose in Pax1, but still useable. Air flows much better when using this versus filter in Pax3, not nearly the slow drag I'm used to. Loads easily, still haven't mastered the removal process short of taking off the mouthpiece and pushing from below. Loving the ease of having ready to go packs.

It works as well as using the empty pax chamber with a screen. The downfall is how hot they get. When trying to swap one pod for another, you need to have already invested time into playing hot potato. The pods can't be handled, but they also fit snug enough in the device they need to be removed manually. I would suggest a tool intended to remove the pods, or a silicone surface to place them on.

I was really excited for the idea of these however the reality is once they are inside the pax they are incredibly difficult to remove. It requires some sort of tool so there goes the entire point of these things, to be able to instantly change out a bowl. I used a knife I had handy and getting the bowl out nearly ruined it. These pics are after one use. They don’t last. Totally disappointed, wish I hadn’t wasted my money.

So I got the BudKups a couple of weeks ago and when I tried to use them the BudKups wouldn't fit properly. I was a little bummed, but figured I'd reach out to customer service and see what they had to say. I got an email back within a few minutes and they had me do a couple of things and send them some pictures. Leo, the customer service rep that was helping me, discussed my problem with the engineer to see what was going on. Turns out Pax ovens can vary in size from time to time. Leo refunded me and didn't even have me send them back. He also told me he was going to take a look and see if they had any smaller BudKups in back which they no longer sale anymore. He found some, sent them my way and they seem to be working great! Even though things didn't work quite right immediately Leo and BudKups offered amazing customer service and was very eager to help. Great company and would recommend to a friend!

They work great you just have to let them heat up a little bit longer. Pax3 You have to keep your pax clean or the kups get stuck in there, use common sense follow the directions

I was skeptical at first when looking at this product. But, I had purchased replacement screens for my PAX 2 that were horrible. They did not fit the unit, they were easily bent/broken, and difficult to remove once I was able to get them (badly fitting) installed into my unit. I have been using the BudKups now for about a week, and I am very impressed. They are beautifully designed and built, they fit perfectly into my PAX 2. And, when it is time to put in another Kup, they just slide right out. No poking, prodding, scraping, banging required (like with the replacement screens). Not only that, but they allow air to properly ventilate through the material, producing a really nice experience. The loading unit is pure genius. It is a plastic tray, with six BudKup holes, and it has a "rake" that has a built in tamper on one end and a smooth, shovel-like head to sweep your material into the Kups. You then use the built in boosters on the side of the shovel to push up the Kups just enough to pop the lids onto them. Much cleaner and easier to load than the direct loading of the PAX (which always got sticky and gooey after using it a few times. And, which always required banging the unit, digging with a pick, or other potentially damaging methods of removing the used material). I can't recommend this enough. It is such a brilliant design! I love it!

Ok, at first I hated them, then I figured it out.Gianna from BudKups was EXTREMELY helpful. I also had a friend come over and give me a little tutorial, no they are really a game changer.Things I’ve learnedFill up fully, don’t try 1/2 packsPack tight but not too tight. I was packing so tight I had to hit really hard causing product to come through and cause clogs.Turn the heat up, I start my PAX and there and then go to four.Last, just grind don’t over grind. If the product is too fine some will leave through.Play with yours fir a bit before you give up. Once you get the hang of it you’ll love it!!Seriously, these cups rock.
