Best little e-cookbook for the money
I have cooked most of the 22 recipes. The book gets 5 stars because I am looking forward to making most of them again and again. I dined quite well while trying out these wonderful meals! At first I made half-recipes using a seasoned cast iron chicken fryer or heavy stainless skillet, with good results. I cook for 1-2 people and realized I wanted more leftovers. I now use a 3.5-qt braiser as recommended by the author. I recommend all small households consider using the 3.5-qt pan as well. It really isn't too large and has other uses besides these delightful braises.I believe I got a lot of value in this $3 e-book. Another bonus is that frozen leftovers have reheated beautifully so far.

Lots of Great Recipes
This little booklet has several fantastic recipes for using a braiser. For the low price, it’s perfect if you just purchased a braiser (Le Creuset, for example) and are looking for some recipes to try in it. BUT, be aware that all of the recipes in this booklet are written for. 3 1/2 quart braiser. If you purchase a 5-quart braiser, the recipes will still work, but you will need to add about 1/3 to the ingredients.

I love it. I do have 1 criticism
I use this over and over for my Le Creuset braiser that I purchased. I love it. I do have 1 criticism. I wish there was a table of some sort that listed cooking times for cuts of meat. I do not always want to cook with wine and onions, for example, but would like to make a basic roast. It would be nice to have a part of the book that just said, "for beef, brown, add liquid and cook in oven for 2.5 hours", etc. I can read between the lines of the recipes, but it can be a pain at times.

Yummy recipes.
My Staub and Le Creuset braisers are some of my favorite cookware and these recipes are yummy. After making some of these I decided to purchase Winnie Moranville's large cookbook, The Bonne Femme Cook Book. It's going to take me longer to get through that one, it's over 400 pages.

Nice little cookbook!
I have been badly burned in the past by the hideous typos, awful layout, and the lack of pictures when buying Kindle versions of cookbooks that were originally published in print. (The automated digitization conversion process butchers cookbooks.) But this book caught my eye because it was written and designed for the Kindle. And lo! I wasn't disappointed! Great little cookbook. Super-looking recipes, images, layout, and photograhs. And the price is right!

Recipes Leave Much to be Desired
The recipes in this book are not very imaginative or interesting. One of the recipes is just boiled egg noodles with herbs and butter, and many of the other recipes are just variations of well known recipes found elsewhere (i.e. chicken with 40 cloves of garlic). Overall, not too disappointed because the book was cheap; but I still wouldn't have purchased it had I know what the recipes were going to be.

Great!
Wini Moranville's recipes are ones that I return to over and over. This one and her "Bonne Femme Cookbook" are staples in my kitchen. Wholesome, simple ingredients, easy to follow recipes that taste great for everyday or for guests. I highly recommend her work!

Two Stars
This was OK but as it's American oven temps etc are different to ours.

Useful and well designed
This book is nicely designed, includes a varied list of recipes and shows as much professionalism as passion for cooking. The only thing I don't really get is why the sides recipes somehow imply that either I own two braisers or something is getting cold while I prepare the rest of the menú. No big deal, of course.
