It is a good collection and summary of some things that you should know, but it doesn't go into enough detail to help you truly learn these topics to apply them in your day-to-day as PM. You could literally just get the table of contents and find all that basic information on the web. Definitely not worth its price tag in my opinion. I was expecting a more thorough book I could use as a reference for years.

Demystifies the role of product management.
A great resource to help you discover which areas you might want to invest more time in as well as help manage your expectations about the role of the product manager. Aswin geeks out on TCP/IP, SQL, and also covers rapid wire framing and A/B testing while providing clear context and examples from real practitioners. Very good read to help you grow into your product management career/journey.

After going through numerous resources, I stumbled upon Aswin Pranam's "Product Management Essentials." All I can say is wow. Without being too verbose, the author does an excellent job presenting relevant, digestible information in the arena of Product Management best practices. I would highly recommend this book to anyone in the software industry.

Great summary - the building blocks
Great book to learn about what you need to learn to succeed as a product manager. To me, this foundational knowledge is always the most valuable and hardest to find.
