An excellent guide to LinkedIn and social selling.
This book provides a context for why LinkedIn is important to today’s sales and business development professionals along with many practical tips about LinkedIn and social selling. Whether you are new to LinkedIn or have been using it for years, you will find useful information that you probably have not seen before. The book is definitely designed to be used as a reference such that readers can rely on it for “how to” information on areas they may not use daily. In addition to the screenshots of various sections in LinkedIn to illustrate areas being discussed, the numerous examples of emails and direct messages helped me to better understand what to say in the process of initiating and building relationships. The suggested LinkedIn and social selling routines are very helpful and can save you considerable time by focusing your activities. The book not only covers LinkedIn in depth, but also touches on other platforms such as Twitter and Facebook as well as how to use content as part of your business development strategy. The challenge with any book on social media is that some information will always be outdated by the time it is published. There is no easy way around this problem for the publisher or the reader so blogs become essential for keeping current. If you want to learn how to leverage the power of LinkedIn for sales and business development, you will profit from reading this book and watching the webinar included with it.

Simple, Straight-forward & Practical
Brynne Tillman gives a great step by step process of social selling - beginning with setting up your linkedin (personal / company) page, and into developing templates for reaching out to prospects.I will be honest, at first glance, I was hesitant with the book and its format. The text is large with a lot of graphics, which made me feel like the book was less professional, however, I realized this is intentional as the book can be used as more of a workbook to set you up for success rather than a bunch of senseless rambling like most books today.A great benefit to this book was the webinar included with the purchase, as it gave a live streaming step by step process to get started in social selling. All in all, this is a great book. Straight to the point, thank you.

If you aren't selling socially, you are missing the boat.
I joined LinkedIn in May 2004. I consider myself to be an expert user of LinkedIn. Several years ago I wrote an eBook entitled "LinkedIn for Selling and Consulting". It receives positive feedback to this day. I tell you all this not to praise myself but to hopefully add weight to this review of Brynne Tillman's Linkedin Guidebook. It is a master class. Brynne does a great job of telling you how to use LinkedIn most effectively and efficiently. She then goes beyond LinkedIn and teaches you about Social Selling. She provides all you need to know to use the power of social connections to supercharge your business development efforts. And she doesn't stop there. She shares her specific disciplines that she uses to continue to build her very successful business. I was pleasantly surprised to learn about several new features in Linkedin about which I wasn't aware. This is a well spent $40, particularly when she throws unlimited access to her webinar on the same subject. I still get calls to teach LinkedIn. I refer all of them to Brynne Tillman.

The best resource for Selling & Non-Selling Professionals out there. If you are in Business Development, this book is a must.
This book is the future of sales. If you want an edge and want to set your company apart from your competition, LinkedIn and social selling is a critical element in prospecting, building rapport, researching and and leveraging your network to grow business. My company, All About Leverage, LLC, helps CEOs and top executives run their Company's social media, and we rely on the most up to date strategies and tactics to ensure our clients are getting the highest ROI. Without a doubt this book covers everything an executive, sales and marketing professionals need to be doing to stay relevant. Whether you are looking to brand yourself or your company as a thought leader or subject matter experts or you need to grow your business through warm referrals, you will learn how to do this step by step in this book. Everything you need to run your social is right here. And even though All About Leverage runs social for others, we still recommend that they read this book so that they can clearly understand the core philosophies.

Only 20 pages about Social Selling!!
First of all, this is not a print book but more a photocopy book which is totally different. The promise of a book about Social Selling is not respected at all. You have only 20 pages about Social Selling. The other pages are usual blablabla about profiles, company pages, publishing, groups on LinkedIn. Very poor quality of 'book", not real insights... So very expensive for what it is that you can find everywhere on internet. If you already know well LinkedIn, forget this book!

A True Must Have For Sales and/or Marketing
I run marketing for an Insurance Brokerage company, Underwriting Specialists Inc. and leveraging social media is critical to get traffic to our sites, and people interested in working with us. This book, LinkedIn & Social Selling absolutely nails it. Strategies and implementable step-by-step activities makes this book incredibly valuable and very easy to follow. Whether you are looking to have a strong professional profile, create engaging content, getting the content in front of the right people or leveraging your network to get referrals, this book will help you get there. I highly recommend to anyone in sales or marketing.Money well spent!

A rip off price wise, some ok tips but ...
A rip off price wise, some ok tips but most of the stuff won't be anything new if you've used LinkedIn for a while. The focus on Business Development is weak. This is really more of an instruction manual. Quite disappointing
