🚴♂️ Kickstand Your Way to Adventure!
The Sataway Bike Kickstand is an adjustable, center mount kickstand designed for mountain bikes ranging from 24” to 29”. Made from lightweight aluminum alloy, it offers durability and rust resistance. Its non-slip foot ensures stability on various terrains, while the easy installation process makes it a must-have for any biking enthusiast.

An elegantly designed and effective kickstand.
My nearly antique bicycle, a 1976 Peugeot U-10, still had its original aluminum kickstand. As the foot wore down, it became more and more difficult to get the bike to stand alone. Using this length-adjustable kickstand is a great relief, and I don’t know why I didn’t replace the original stand before this. It’s very lightweight and sturdy, and the length is trivial to adjust, depending upon the slope of the surface. Installation is simple and secure. I couldn’t be happier with this product. I should mention that this bicycle is heavy to start with, having 27.5" traditional frame made of Reynolds 501 steel tubing, and is even heavier, now, as I’ve added a motor in the front wheel and a huge battery pack on the rear, which makes it top heavy. Despite all of this, the Sataway holds it us securely.

Bad Design and Fragile.
The kickstand worked for about a week before my wife's heel tapped the adjustment button protrusion and the plastic disintegrated, letting the whole bottom assembly drop off the unit. If they had put the button on the forward side instead of the outward facing side, it wouldn't have been such a target. The plastic was obviously too weak. The only reason this got a two star was because even without the bottom assembly, the kickstand still works, but is much less stable. Also, the use of the 6mm allen bolt is a bad choice and makes installation annoying because the front derailleur mounting assembly blocks the installer's ability to put in the allen wrench. This is why they used hex bolts to start with.In addition, as others have noted, it is very hard to get the allen bolt tight enough to keep the assembly from pivoting around the bolt during general everyday use. I attribute this to both the use of the allen bolt and the lack of any shaping to the mounting bracket.Wouldn't recommend.

Smooth modern kickstand, but has some plastic
I recently bought a new bike for my wife and it came with a nice aluminum spring loaded kickstand that prompted me to want to upgrade my old cheap cruiser with a nicer kickstand. After some deliberation I purchased this Sataway kickstand. Installation is incredibly simple and took less than a minute once I got the old one off. The moving hinge point is very smooth and seems well made. The upper portion of the kickstand is aluminum and seems like it could last a lifetime, however, the adjustable lower "foot" of the kickstand is plastic and seems flimsy. It's unfortunate to see an otherwise "lifetime item" crippled by the inclusion of some cheap plaster. I'm keeping it and we'll see how it goes. It works great, but I'm sure the plastic part will crack and break at some point. Until then it is much appreciated upgrade.

THIS THING SUCKS!!!
I gave this kickstand too many chances and now all I have left is a broken piece of junk destined for the trash can.First, when I received the kickstand and tried to install it on a new mountain bike, the bolt immediately cross-threaded and it took me about an hour to removed clean/file the bolt threads and reinstall. (The install would have taken less than five minutes if this hadn’t happened.)Then after the first couple rides with the kickstand on, it became loose and would regularly shift and start rubbing on the rear tire. Very annoying. Constantly had to stop and adjust it away from the tire and hope that it would stay put. This never got better. Finally, just yesterday I got back from a short bike ride, put the kickstand down and it completely came apart. It broke into two pieces at the point that it rotates. Luckily I was holding on to the bike or else it would have fallen. All I could do at that point is laugh at how much trouble I have had with this PIECE OF GARBAGE...I wish I had a shotgun, so I could shoot it over and over again. That would give me a lot of satisfaction. I was also considering running it over with my truck a few times, but this little bastard would probably puncture my tire as one final “F you buddy.”Spend your money elsewhere.

Good for TREK bike
Strong stand keeping the bike firm, flexible length adjustment. I installed it on my new TREK bike. It was easier to set. But it was not firmly setting on bike roads and getting skid while opening and closing the stand. I believe this was due to metal sitting on metal and no firm grip. Later I used rubber pads both side (up and down) of bolt to make it firm, tight and steady.

No Allen Wrench Included!
I purchased this bicycle kickstand from my Trek hybrid commuter-mountain bike, and I was a little hesitant at first because of the reviews that said it couldn't be used on a Trek. It was definitely a difficult install, but it can be done if you have the right tool. Unfortunately, the seller of this item doesn't include a proper Allen wrench. I was very lucky that I have a fairly comprehensive tool set at home, and I was able to install this, but this is a very large allen wrench and would not be found in most home toolkits. Shame on the seller for not including the required part to install this. I would also mention that because of the swooping design, my pedal barely clears the stand when it is retracted up against the frame. This could have been designed a lot better to be much closer to the frame, and there is no reason for the large bowed curve which makes it stick out farther than it needs to be when retracted.

Center bolt won’t stay tight - kickstand rotates around the bolt.
Everything is okay except the center bolt won’t stay tight, resulting in rotation of the kickstand around the bolt. The leverage of putting the kickstand up and down, loosens the bolt. Maybe some bigger and better lock washers will help.

Too long for our bikes
This was too long for my wife and daughters Specialized Sirrus 3.0 Small. Even at the shortest setting the bike was nearly upright and prone to falling over.I had to cut the length and create a new indent for the adjustable plastic piece. The height of the attachment point on the bikes was 10.2" which is greater than the 10" inches listed by the manufacturer. So I am not sure why the bike was so upright. Maybe this is specific to this make and model bike.Other than being too long for our bikes this is a nice looking and nice functioning kickstand.

hard to find ebike kickstand
Usually normal kickstands can't handle the weight of ebikes but this one does fine. You need a spring or locking washer to to the bolt from loosening because it will fall out otherwise

Okay
I only wish this item came with a nut to secure it in place. It kept readjust as I was riding which made me nervous, just took it off until I can appropriately secure it.
