I needed these to secure the door of an outdoor shower. Sometimes it needs to stay open. Sometimes the door really needs to stay closed! And I needed stainless steel. The shower gets wet often, as it should, plus it is near the ocean. This 3-pack of stainless steel hook-and-eye latches was perfect.The hooks are quite solid. The vendor's picture does show that these hooks have a bit of ornamentation but their picture does not do it justice. They really look nice!Installed easily. I drilled 1/16-inch pilot holes to make it easier with the little screws.

After receiving the hooks I was impressed with the appearnce of them. They have a little detail giving them a much more expensive look and they feel sturdy. Work great no complaints at all.

Fantastic, large, comes with all hardware. I use these to lock two screen doors from the inside. The locks on the door handles are practically useless. Use these with glass windows and they are burglar proof: the burglar would have to break the glass and they normally don't do that: they don't want to attract attention. They are solid stainless steel and need a drill to install, as well as a philips screw driver. They are much bigger than regular ones.

These are nice-looking, solid-feeling stainless-steel latches. We live in a marine environment, so stainless steel was important to me, and so far, five months in, the finish still looks great. Only issue for me is that while the included screws are also stainless steel and might hold the latch on an indoor cabinet, for an outdoor gate where there's a lot of wind as we get, the tiny screws are much too short to hold the latch. The screws do start to pull out a few months later. The fix is to go to the hardware store and in the bin area, get #8 stainless screws at least 1.25" long.

These are really nice heavy cabinet hook and eye latches. we bought these when we got a kitten who couldn't stay out of cabinets. Since putting the latches on at the top of the cabinets she hasn't been able to open them from the side or bottom. It's been a really perfect solution for us and has totally confounded our 6 month old kitten, Sushi.The nice thing about these latches is the weight. When they fall into the eye it's a nice satisfying heavy click but let you know this cabinet is closed and it will not be opened except by human hands. I don't think it's the solution for human kittens because they have those pesky thumbs. For regular kittens and probably puppies to these work well.
