Arcane Wonder Mage Wars Action Marker Set

There are two key reasons to buy this expansion.(1) You want to play a 3-4 player version of the game. The base game includes just two colors (red and blue), and you will need additional/different colors action markers (and additional quickcast markers) if you want to play with more than two players. This set includes 10 markers of each color, plus 2 quickcast markers). As others have noted you also need another board for the 3-4 player game, but if you are playing with someone else who has the game that will not be a problem (but, you'll definitely want additional colors to play with more than two players regardless).(2) You like the color green. As noted above, the base set only includes the colors red and blue. But, I like to use the color green when playing games. So, this was a must have for me. The other color it includes is yellow, so I suppose the same could be said if you like to play yellow.Note, this was out of print for a while and went up in price quite a bit on the secondary market. But, it was reprinted around the time this review was written so it was possible to get or regular retail price, and sometimes a little below if you shop around online. So, be sure to look around before you spend on too much on this marker. Might go out of print again, but it is worth looking around first. My reprinted set are very slightly bigger and greener than the original run.

Good quality and as described.Since I love Mage Wars I do not mind the expense, but the price is high for what you get.

The action markers in the picture are yellow and green. What I got was purple and grey, which is not what I wanted. Extremely unhappy with this.

Arcane Wonders delivered as expected. Had 1-on-1 and 2-on-2 game play. Used these markers for our first and second 3-player games and very soon 2-on-2-on-2 (very exciting).

Isn’t even the colours as described and advertised in pictures. Lucky I was able to sell of the markers I actually got. Not thrilled considering the shipping cost I paid.

Product description: "Add more players to your game and give them their own unique color of action markers!"In order for this to be true, at a minimum this set would need to include 2 additional Mage Status Boards. This set does not, and thus is not everything you would need to add 2 players to the standard Mage Wars set.Even with the added cardboard stock they neglected to include this wouldn't be worth the money to me, but to each their own.
