Weightlifter Perspective
I looked into this book after reading articles and watching videos on lesser known elements in the world that sap testosterone.I take these organic and health options very slow to make sure I'm not chasing after a slim margin of benefit but my job in actually working with water and polymer made me more pressed to look into it.There is plenty of compiled research in the book that points to all of this targeting testosterone and has gotten me to begin phasing out polyester from my wardrobe but the stuff is really hard to avoid as well as find organic options with as much style selection as non organics. If you buy this book and start taking action, be mindful it will take patience and that passing this info on to other friends who are not as enthusiastic or concerned about their health this will be a harder sell to pass on.Fantastic book, and the best part is that this is probably one of the easiest ways to keep your testosterone levels up compared to eating kale and olive oil all the time.

Healthy living and synthetic fabrics
I avoid synthetic clothes, especially polyester which is technically plastic. The book perfectly explains that our skin's role is to eliminate toxins from our system. Synthetic clothes doesn't breathe, therefore you literally suffocate yourself when you're wearing these clothes. On the other hand, cotton, for example, has great breathability, it also has antimicrobial properties which you won't find in synthetic clothes, of course.Natural fabrics offer a good temperature regulation and are not filled with formaldehyde or other nasty chemicals that contribute to cancer, allergies and bunch of other illnesses. However, there's one natural fabric I do have a problem with is SILK. Cotton and linen are neutral fabrics and don't emit electrostatics, but silk actually does. My silk clothes would get charged every time I sit down on a plastic chair or vinyl floor, which is very annoying. So I avoid silk as well even though it's a natural fabric. I don't need extra sources to mess with my electric field.

Sensible
The extremes some people go to in the name of fashion: heels so high they upset balance is one thing. Another, I think from this book: a lady bought several pair of jeans for her child who started getting ill at school. Smart mom realized the timing of the illness correlated w/the jeans so wondered if any connection. Turned out that she'd gotten them at a salvage store (I love salvage, garage sales, thrift stores, so I am not knocking them.); truck load of merchandise included the jeans which were involved in a shipment wreck where chemicals (agricultural?) spilled on them. After the jeans were tested by authorities, Mom was told they would be ok once laundered. Reminded me of a home ec student who said that she didn't wear new clothes before she washed them! The manufacturing chemicals may actually be worse for us than clothes bought at thrift stores that may have been washed many times.

You'll Ban the Bra and Synthetic Fabrics
You'll ban the bra and also synthetic fabrics. I had read several books on this subject a number of years ago. For every health robbing synthetic material they take off of the market, they come up with another poisonous replacement. They also keep coming up with new really toxic ones. The text is interesting, the book is well written and most thoroughly researched. While I agree with the authors on all their major points, even not constantly wearing flip flops, open toed sandals are nice as they let your feet breathe and still give your feet some support. I now live in Florida, but spent the rest of my life in Northern Wisconsin and am well aware that in cold weather you need more substantial shoes. Read the book and get all the facts.

As expected
The information is dry. So it is straight forward. This author is a fan of mine. I do not take the information in this book lightly. Learning to apply it is going to be a challenge for me.

So glad I stumbled across this!
I bought this while pregnant last year on a whim when Amazon threw it at me based on what I was shopping for--and I am so glad I did. Not only does the book introduce the reader to alarming facts in our textile industry, but provides resources for future purchases. I look at clothes differently now, and it spurred me into more research on flooring for our house when repairs were needed. Do yourself and your loved ones a favor and read it.

Name Your Chemical
If you only knew what is in your clothes and laundry detergent. Oh, and fabric softener also. It's so bad I ordered a EdenPure laundry system today. On Sale. Doesn't use detergent to clean your clothes and it's a system that hospitals use because so many people have allergies.I am writing quick reviews to get the books listed that have helped me immensely with my search for wellness. I will come back and leavemore information when possible. And no, I don't make money off of anything I have read. So all of you one star reviewers can just back off.

Must read for anyone interested in saving the environment
Very informative book! I've worked in the fashion industry for 4 years and this is certainly an eye opener. It is now very depressing for me when my boss tells me to add "must do anti static wash" to all the polyester items in our production charts at work. I'm glad I read this book and understand the consequences of the fashion industry on the environment, it's something that should be more widely discussed. Anyone who is concerned with where their food comes from should give this a read, what you wear can be just as important as what you eat.

Needs to list more UK suppliers
Brian is preaching to the converted as I'm allergic to elastane and also to the formaldehyde used in anti-wrinkle garments. I've long been wary of tight fitting push up bras and wear a hundred percent cotton ones which are generously sized. I only wish that they could have listed more UK suppliers of cotton products. The UK retailer that they named adds elastane to most of their bras and seem to find this acceptable as the elastane is encased in the cotton. But I still react badly to their products and would like to buy garments which are Lycra-free.

paint and the like -but noboby takes a good and deep look at ...
I never dreamed that the usual clothes I wear every day affected my health in such a colossal way. You hear about the dangerous chemicals in toys, carpets, paint and the like -but noboby takes a good and deep look at what rubs against our skin constantly. Killer Clothes reveals it all. You will be shocked to find how many diseases can be traced back to poisones chemicals in our clothes -be it ordinary cotton or synthetics. A must read.

Brilliant. Heart-Breaking. The ugly truth. The hidden lies. AWARENESS!!!!
Please do yourself and everyone on planet Earth a favor and read this. This is heartbreaking. The truth they reveal is mind-boggling. How are we even letting a few greedy men do this to us, the animals and our planet as a whole ?Nature is begging us to become conscious!I watched Brian's lecture on youtube on the channel "The Truth About Health" and I instantly bought the book. I had to. I never thought I will be able to read a book on-screen but since the paperback version was taking a month to deliver, I bought the kindle version and read the book in 3 days. My fastest ever read. Because I just wanted to know more about the lies we have been sold and the truths that are kept away from our awareness. To be honest, I am not disappointed. In fact, everyone needs to know this. We live in a sad world. The world has gone too far in doing anything for greed and money and if we don't go back to nature and live with harmony, we will destroy it. AGAIN!!!Although, one thing that wasn't made clear was how to figure out what dyes companies use and what's the best line of action ?1) Get rid of all plastic man-made material. Got it. How ? No guidance.2) If not able to source organic cotton, is conventional cotton the next best choice ? Not clear.3) If buying organic cotton clothing, but dyes used are direct and not natural, is it a good option ?4) Does washing organic clothing with synthetic clothing leach the toxins in synthetic clothing to organic clothing and thus should be even washed separately ?I would have appreciated more help and clarity on how to dispose the stuff that's toxic and supposedly non-biodegradable and you currently own these toxic products. And also, about how to make the best choice when organic with vegetable based dyes options are not available.I would appreciate anybody who could enlighten me on this at [email protected].
