Exotic Butterflies and Moths to Color
Exotic Butterflies and Moths is truly an exciting book to dip into. There is so much information on the pages as well that you will learn a lot about them and their differences. There are 11 color pictures to use for guides. This would be a great book to gift to someone that is learning about moths and butterflies. Color it for them or let them do it themselves. It's going to be a fun educational book to color.Which ever way you go just remember to make sure to have something under your picture if it isn't removable so you won't leave imprints on the picture under it or color markings from the one already done. You don't want anything to mess up your hard work on these wonderful pictures in any of these books.

Extend your knowledge of and appreciation for butterflies.
My wife and I have enjoyed butterflies, over the years, and we regularly see butterflies in our home gardens, but it was only recently, following my wife's stroke, that we began to study and further appreciate the world of beauty that butterflies brought to our lives. We started studying butterflies, learning the varieties, and coloring them in other coloring books, but most books concentrate on the identification and presentation of the more common varieties. In Ruth Stoffer's Exotic Butterflies and Moths, we are introduced to a number of lesser known varieties. In addition to large prints of the butterflies for coloring, there are excellent descriptions of the butterflies and moths and their markings, and include specifics on range, habitat, and food sources. While many of the more exotic butterflies and moths might not be native to our area, we can appreciate the variety and beauty they represent, through this excellent book.

Accurately Illustrated
I bought this as sort of a gag gift for my entomologist brother, thinking he'd have fun pointing out the errors in the drawings and accompanying factoids. He was quite pleased with it, noting several things that were represented correctly in this book even though he often sees them illustrated incorrectly. The book is done well, and as someone not in the field, I enjoyed reading the information about the different species. This would be a great learning book for children, but has enough complexity for adults as well.

Beautiful butterflies and moths with great results!
The best thing about this coloring book is there are great examples of some of the pages and the descriptions on each page tells you the color of that particular moth or butterfly so that you have a good starting point. The paper is of good quality and your coloring comes out looking really pretty. I have great results using a burnishing pencil on my coloring in this book. The colors are vivid and since the paper quality is good, I'm not disappointed in anything I've colored.

It's ok...
Too much talkie, more coloring please! I would say this is more of an adult coloring book, however, as an adult, I did not enjoy this coloring book. Maybe an entomologist would enjoy this. My niece and nephew were bored and went for the better coloring options. What's inside? Pictures of butterflies, and lots of small print. Ok, normal size, book print. Lots and lots of words. And I'm sure it is interesting, unfortunately it isn't worded or designed in an enticing manner. But the butterfly pictures and nice.I would say, if you are looking for a coloring book and hoping to learn about butterflies, heck yes, this is the one for you. Unfortunately, it fell short for me.

Five Stars
Beautiful book! Amazing illustrations. Now that I have recieved the book I am changing my rating to 3 stars. While the pictures are beautiful I do not like that the pictures are two sided. When you color the picture on one side you can see some color bleeding through on the other side. This is why many adult coloring books have pictures only on one side of the pages. Other than that the book is wonderful!

Okay color book.
This book is okay. I'm a little disappointed that pictures are on both sides of the paper as it will limit what I am able to use to color them, but the paper is a decent weight. It's a nice added bonus to learn about the different butterflies and moths. I will be looking in a nature book to see the exact coloring of each one before I color the pictures. It may be more challenging than other coloring books.

I Love To Color
I love these Dover Coloring Books, They're really pretty and fun to color. Coloring isn't just for little people, these are made with adults in mind. Believe it or not coloring is very therapeutic. I'd recommend them for anyone who just needs to take a break from the world. These will help relax you and lets your imagination frolic. The only thing is, they can be addicting. I have several of them.

Muito bonito.
The media could not be loaded. Lindas borboletas para colorir. O problema é que tem desenho no verso da folha, e esta por ser de gramatura fina, fica limitado o uso de material de pintura. Não dá para usar canetinhas. Mesmo assim vale a pena.

Enjoy this one very much
Good quality bright-white paper; printed on both sides (not a problem for me, as I use pencil crayons rather than ink markers). Slightly more detailed/challenging than some of the other Dover books (which I like). Designs fill most of page size, so not a lot of wasted white space (as with Redoute flowers book, for example). Complexity level: adult or teen; not for children under 12, I would estimate. Excellent service from Amazon: arrived ahead of schedule (within the same week as being ordered), well-packaged, using free shipping method.

Keep that senior brain active and curious.
Very happy to find this book; gorgeous pictures (after I'm done). A great pass time and you end up with a very nice picture. One can follow the examples or do your own thing. More than worth the money and I strongly recommend it. It's also fun to Google the different butterflies to learn about them. Quite interesting, indeed!!

Two Stars
Not overly impressed with this colouring book. Too much writing. Pictures are average. Nothing really captivating about it.
