Would the iPhone silicone case match this screen protector?

I don't own Apples silicone case but I think there would be about a 1/16 inch gap all around the the edge. Thats how big the gap is on my phone with a inexpensive case.

Does the packaging come with two installation trays or one?

Comes with 2 protectors each in their own installation tray ready for install. So yes it comes with 2 installation trays. Its easily a no worry install being that they are all pre setup

Does this glass protector fit the iphone xs max from edge to edge or is there a gap around the outer edge?

The glass protector goes to the full edge of lighted Screen. There is a gap where the beveled edge of the XS starts. Spigen would have to sell a beveled glass screen to truly go edge to edge. I paired the tempered glass screen with a Spigen Case and it truly a slim sleek fit ( you can see the 1/8" gap between the edge of the screen and the case. Very satisfied. I had the same pairing on my Iphone 6 plus for 3 years and it with stood multiple accidental drops, even a few drops with the glass faced down. Also, the provided installation tray made the glass alignment and installation fool proof.

Does this protector cover the entire phone like where the curved sides and edges are?

Yes it does cover the edges, and the curved sides. It just has a cutout for the notch.
