Musculoskeletal Imaging: A Core Review First Edition

Physics part of MSK imaging too covered. Excellent book.

used for MOC - perfect choice. Concise but thorough.

As a radiology resident, studying for the ABR core exam, I purchased this book to review MSK. The questions are decent in quality, however, many of the MRI images were too dark to be interpretable. I would use my iPhone flashlight to illuminate the picture to greater detail to try and see the details the answer guide was referencing, but some of them were simply too black to see. Perhaps the publisher had just refilled their black toner on their printers? Whatever the case may be, I would have hoped that someone in their QC would have caught it. I have returned the book.I can't speak for the electronic version, but perhaps it will display better on an electronic format than on print. Definitely wouldn't buy the print version. I returned mine.

Great review encompassing a wide range of MSK imaging topics, including integrated physics questions/discussion. Not an exhaustive review and one would need to use additional resources for the Core exam, but readers should use this book for practice and as a guide to further tailor study materials/subjects for the Core exam, as well as on daily rotations. I primarily used a well known question bank for board review, but found some of the musculoskeletal topics in particular to far beyond the level of information needed. I will definitely find this useful throughout fellowship and for the certifying exam.

This book is excellent. The interface with my smartphone is better than any other review materials I have used.

Excellent book! These questions covered core-level material and more...This book includes physics material, tumor, trauma and the zebras your staff love! This book can even be a great read prior to fellowship.

Good questions overall with integrated physics. Better than suffering through the RadPrimer questions from you-know-who. For MSK more questions might be needed to cover all of the material (particularly tumors). I gave 4 stars because the GU Core Review is better but obviously covering a different material set.
