The book provided research-based strategies that can help improve student engagement among many different student demographics.

As a graduate student in a student affairs master's program, I have found this book to be extremely valuable. While it hasn't been required for any courses, I have used it every semester for at least one paper/project.Each chapter of the book focuses on a different student population and does a great job of summarizing common challenges, applicable theories, and practical strategies for supporting each sub-population.

Such an easy read and breaks down different identities that will come across a student affair professional's desk. A very great text for classes. This was a required text for two of my classes in my Student Engagement in Higher Education: Theoretical Perspectives and Practical Approaches for Diverse Populations  Master's Program.

Needed it for a class, and it was exactly what I wanted, and in great condition!
