We live in an area with very sandy soil. I use this every day to clean my shoes at the back door to keep from bringing in a lot of dirt on my shoes. These really clean the bottom and sides of shoes well. You do need to remember to clean the back of your heel though, since there is no brush that covers that area. I don't see how they could engineer one on this device either, so just remember to turn you foot sideways and clean that area off too. I was amazed at the amount of dirt this collected in one day, considering that we have not had any rain in over a week. The plate below the brushes was covered with about 1/16th of an inch of sand or more in one day! Great product, well worth the money. Built sturdy and should last.3/7/20 UpdateStill working great. We tried this for the first time yesterday with plenty of dirt and leaves on our shoes from walking the trail behind our house in the mountains. The thing worked like a charm. We hang it on a hook next to our back (mud room) door and take it down and place it on the door mat. Standing on one side of the base provides real stability and allows you to really scrub hard with the other shoe. With the base on the door mat, nothing on the surface below or the unit itself gets damaged as you scrub you shoe. I had on Teva sandals with lugged soles, and all the dirt and leaves, including sticky rhododendron blossom casings) came off. The longer side bristles are not scratchy on leather surfaces (they didn't even hurt my feet in the sandals. The bottom bristles are short and stiff and real work on the nooks and crannies in your soles. Very deep lugs with hiking boots might be a challenge, but we shall see.

This is a great portable boot scrubber. The area outside our entry is flagstones, so I didn't want a model that requires anchoring to the ground. This unit is weighty, and it's easy to run shoes or boots through while placing the other foot on the side to hold it in place. The scrubber does what it is intended to do -- removes snow and grit from shoe/boot treads and sides.We've only used it for the winter so far but this will get year-round use, as we're gardeners and hikers. It has dramatically cut down on the amount of rock salt, snow, ice, and mud coming into the house.This unit cleans only the sides and treads and does a great job. For the tops of shoes and the outside of the heels, we keep a brush (actually, a back scrubber) nearby to finish the job.

The Scrusher works great. It cleans the bottom and sides of my shoes easily so I'm not tracking mud and debris inside. I especially like the design where I can stand on the heavy steel plate to keep the brush from moving while scrubbing my shoes through the brushes. I use the Scrusher several times a day after walking my Chocolate Labrador Retriever through the mud and water soaked woods and the more I use it the more I like it. I plan to buy another one or two to put at other entrances and in my workshop area. It's heavy duty construction will provide many years of use for me.

I spent far too much time going through reviews for a shoe scrapers and this Is the best one I found. Made very well, made in the USA! Yes, its great to support the economy of the country you live in.Only problem I had is that this is too small to fit my snow boots, actually is fairly small for my regular boots, and even my sneakers. I wear a men's size 11, and my normal shoes and sneakers are fairly minimalist, nothing wide or bulky. I wonder if the brushes will wear down over time, but for now i have to put my shoe in sideways for it to fit which is a bit awkward. I did see there is a larger size of this item that is made, which I had gotten that one.

I was given this Scrusher as a gift after putting it on my wish list. It had great reviews and my husband and I needed something to help keep our floors clean. We have a fixer house which means that the landscaping is low priority right now. That also means lots of bare spots in the yard that alternate between being dusty and muddy. Falling leaves, weeds and unidentifiable debris cling to our shoes with each run out to the garbage cans or the composter. The Scrusher was the perfect answer. We leave it just inside the back door and all that crud stays right there instead of being tracked all over the house. It cleans the bottom and sides too. The handy attached step quickly makes short work of the clean up as well. Highly recommend it!

Product is good, but not perfect. It has two bolts which attach the brush to the base and prevent the base from lying flat if it is set atop a piece of decking or other planking..

This is nicely made and heavy. I can clean my shoes after working in the garden. Nice to have a place to put one foot to stabilize the unit while cleaning one shoe at a time. It’s just what I needed.
