Gigantic help! (and can take a beating)
I love this gauge. Easy to use, seems very accurate and helps me dial in my blades on my table saw and mitre saw.I was never satisfied with using a square because you still rely on your eye. Using this means you zero it out on the table and then stick it (magnetized) to your blade and adjust to the correct angle. No more guessing with the built-in angle indicator on the saw where the marks are thick and hard to judge.Great buy!EDIT: I, unfortunately, found out it is VERY durable also. I left it attached to the right side of my mitre saw blade (stupid, I know) and since I was viewing my cut line to the left of the blade I didn't see it still sticking there. I pulled the trigger and after hitting the blade guard, that poor gauge took off flying across the garage. I'm sure it dutifully measured all the angles it was experiencing on it's way to slamming itself into my cabinets and then falling to the concrete. I said a couple of curse words and picked it up. I zeroed it out on the cut bed and stuck it to the blade. It's fine. Lesson learned. Strong gauge.

Checking table saw blade angle is now a breeze.
The Wixey WR300 Type 2 digital angle gauge with magnetic base works well for checking the angle on my table saw blade. Now I can be quite accurate with my mitered cuts and ensure that I've returned exactly to 90 degrees when I am done. I have found the blade angle stops built into my Dewalt portable table saw are decent, but they don't always return to exactly 90 / 45 degrees. All bets are off if I've had to adjust my blade alignment. This tool makes it easy and quick to confirm I'm in the right spot. Should have bought this on day one when I bought the saw!

As you can tell by the five stars, I highly recommend it.
I noticed a few negative reviews but, many, many positive ones so I purchased it. The one I received is excellent! It repeats, and according to my machinist square, it is dead on accurate. Certainly within the 0.1 deg. as advertised.Mine does not have the slow response noted by some; at least it isn't slow for my purposes. I would say the refresh is about one second or so. There were also a few comments about an "ERROR" coming up on the display occasionally. Please note that the gauge is designed to indicate angles left or right; not front to back. I noticed that if you tilt the gauge forward or backward more than a about five degrees, this ERROR does pop up. However, I also discovered that when the upright position is restored, the ERROR goes away and the reading is still quite accurate. In other words; no harm done, it is simply telling you it couldn't read properly. It is worth mentioning that the enclosed instructions indicate that for best accuracy, you can use a precision square to assure the gauge isn't tilted front or back. All in all, I will say that this little unit is very useful and well worth the money. As you can tell by the five stars, I highly recommend it.

Incredibly accurate. What a value! LOVE IT!!!!
5 stars is defined as LOVING the product, and I do. I have been involved with the building of more than a dozen ADA-compliant wheelchair ramps, and I use this digital angle gauge all the time. It's AWESOME. You do have to calibrate it, which is simple to do. You should always check the angle, then flip the gauge around 180º and see what it reads. If one reading is 4.7º and the other is -4.7º (negative), then you know it's calibrated accurately. If they differ significantly, then you need to lay it on a known level surface and zero it out. Then test again. One challenge is that wood is never totally straight and you'll get different readings almost every place you measure. That's not the fault of the gauge. It shows how accurate the gauge is! I absolutely love this thing. Anyone who needs to measure angles should own one of these. For thirty bucks, it's an amazing product.

Square is all relative
Bought this mid 2017.This is one of those things that I got in my head that I just had to have after watching YouTubers setting blade angles and fences with it.While it probably meets the stated specs of Accuracy: +/- 0.2 degrees and Repeatability : +/- 0.1 degrees, depending on what you are trying to achieve that's actually quite a bit of real world error. After trying it out and seeing how far off It really was compared to a setup block and machinist square I stuck it on the side of my tool box and it stayed there for over a year until this past weekend when I gave it away.It will probably help my buddy quite a bit because he has a jobsite saw and square is after-all all relative.

Good product, shipped quickly
Good product, shipped quickly. The small size works very well for truing up table saw blades to the table. The magnetized base hangs onto the blade. Just zero out the gauge on the table, then hang the gauge on the blade, and dial in exactly the angle you want to cut. Can be any angle, not just 90 or 45 degrees, so if you want to make a pentagon, or hexagon, or octagon (or whatever) sided box, you're covered. The readout is clear, and reads in decimal degrees. I think the accuracy is +/-0.2 degrees, which is fine for woodworking, and better than trying to use a protractor or square. I always find the square approach problematic, since on most saw blades the carbide teeth are wider than the steel part of the blade. This gauge avoids fouling the carbide teeth of the blade, so you get an accurate blade angle reading. Cool tool!

Geat upgrade to an earlier model
I have owned and used a Wixey angle gauge for approximately 15 years. In my view, there is little better on the market when it comes to setting up or checking woodworking machinery. It is both simple to use and is extremely accurate. The only downside to my old gauge was its power source, a 2032 lithium button cell. This had to be removed after each use as the gauge's quiescent current draw even when off would flatten the battery quite quickly, certainly if left unused in its storage drawer for any appreciable period. This new gauge uses an AAA battery power source (the main reason I purchased one) and also has a backlit display. This battery type is cheaper, more easily available, has higher capacity and can be easily substituted by rechargeable cells. The fact that I no longer need to remove the battery in storage is a huge improvement for me and the backlit display is a welcome bonus. A great device.
