Questionable mounting..
Update: after 2 days of driving and building my confidence in this bar, I was let down. I left for work this morning and almost immediately heard noise from the rear end. I pulled over to inspect and it APPEARED as though one of the nuts and washers came loose on the 90mm bolt that passes through the lower shock mount. I limped back home and parked, only to find the nut and washer sitting there in my driveway! That’s right… over night, while the vehicle was parked, the bolt itself failed!Yes, I used a torque wrench. Yes, I know how to use it…I don’t blame whiteline. I’m sure they don’t make the bolts. It was a dud. A fluke. It is what it is… I have ordered replacement parts to replace both bolts. I wasn’t happy with the 90mm bolts anyway. I felt they were too short for the application. The nylon insert lock nuts only passed the end of the bolt by half a thread or so, and I felt that wasn’t adequate to prevent them from backing off and falling off on the road. The bad part about that is that if the nut falls off the bolt slips out and you’ll drop your shock down through the lower mount. This isn’t a whiteline fault either, as every manufacturer that makes a sway bar for this vehicle uses the shock mount to attach the end link (or in some cases the bar itself, direct to the bolt with no bushing!Whiteline, if you’re listening, change that bolt to 100mm!Original review:I installed the bar on the medium setting and it definitely makes a big difference in the way my 2006 golf TDI handles. 2006 is a tricky year for the golf when it comes to finding parts that fit so I almost always search as a 2005. This bar fit perfectly, but I am not a fan at all of how the bar uses u-bolts to mount. I feel like these u-bolts will stretch over time and need to be re-tightened. I would have preferred to see some sort of custom bracket designed to clamp around the beam.

Horrible customer support. Bad hardware.
The bar itself seems good and performs well. But after about 2 weeks of driving, I heard a rattling. The links for the bar connect on top to the lower shock mount bolts. Of course the OE ones are too short for this, and cap screws of the correct length are included with the kit. Well, on one side the head snapped off that cap screw. I needed to replace that, and I'm worried about the cap screw on the other side now. Contacted whiteline about getting replacement hardware (stuff happens, I get it). First response from Shannon was "Have a picture of the broken bolt?" I sent one. Next (and final) reply was "Is that your OE bolt?" I replied that no it was not, the OE bolt wouldn't work since it's only long enough for the shock. Plus I wouldn't be contacting Whiteline if a VW bolt broke. Also, next day I sent pics of the mounted links on both sides so they could see. Absolutely no reply from Whiteline. It's been a week of silence.

Easy to install
Easy to install. Complements the factory 23mm front bar very well. Allows you to get rid of the factory under-steer that plagues the MK4 chassis .Greatly improves turn in response.
