JacobsVelvet Instant Coffee 100g

I am by no means a coffee expert. I don’t drink it every day. But I recently decided to stop all the effort of grinding beans, etc and go with instant. I asked people their favorites and I got seven different brands from Maxwell House to illy, Starbucks and Folgers. I tried them all. They were all good and perfectly serviceable. Folgers, illy and Starbucks were among the best. But this jar of Jacob’s rose to the top. Very smooth, no bitterness, nice taste. It was the most expensive but the best. If you are looking for value overall, try Folgers. But if you want the best cup of instant coffee you’re likely to have, it’s all about the Jacob’s.

So delicious, rich and creamy. One of my fav instant coffee brands. We actually add it to our drip coffee cups in morning to make it stronger and thicker. Love it

Great coffee, but why can't the Germans make a jar that doesn't leak coffee EVERYWHERE???

Taste, smooth, aroma, no bad aftertaste. I use Starbucks caramel creamer with mine.

Be aware of the seller. Coffee jar has a complete different label from the original. Coffee tastes bitter and burnt. No English language description on the back so not clear who the distributor is and where it came from. I spit the coffee out ones I tasted it. Horrible taste. Scary stuff to start your morning. This is going to the garbage or back to Amazon. And Amazon WILL give me my money back. This is unacceptable.

Nice creamy top, smooth flavor and finish. Need to use more of the coffee than they recommend to get a rich cup. But velvet in the name does make sense to me now. And, I am quite a coffee person with a sensitive palette. Oh do I go to great lengths and trouble to brew a perfect cup. I've been seeking instant coffees for flavoring and now I also drink this brand.

I was expecting a much better taste according to the reviews and online taste tests against other brands of instant coffees. This was certainly not the best, but of course taste is different with individuals. But that said, the product was packaged well, but the contents were in powder form rather than crystals like many competitor brands. Also, the instructions for use (if that is what was printed on the back) were in another language that I didn't understand, so I experimented with the different amounts over four days to see if the taste would improve, which it didn't.
