Works well for getting close.
This unit works well for getting CLOSE to on target. This isn't an end all be all of sighting tools, clearly this is indicated by the price. The unit works well and the laser is bright. Like many of the cartridge boresighters the batteries die FAST. This isn't a gripe against the unit, clearly something producing a laser in such a small package will eat some batteries, but mainly the batteries packaged with it are of inferior quality. The main issue i had with the unit in my Taurus 24/7 9mm Pro was that the action would not close over the unit. The extractor would rest on the back of the cartridge and not close. It took some careful guiding to place the cartridge laser in the grove of the extractor and close the action this way. It worked after doing this but was definitely a pain.I'm not sure if other units would have this problem or even if it was just the strong extractor on the gun itself but either way it made for a longer night that's for sure.

how to get gun to battery with device in chamber
Had to take gun apart and insert cartridge into breach and get the rim of the cartridge behind the ejector so gun would go into battery. then it works good. instruction say not to try and load it like a regular round as it will damage cartridge rim. It will eject fine once done using laser. Only real problem is battery is very short lived about 10 minutes and battery is dead. I used this on a Taurus G2C worked good dead on with my sights.

Very nice product concept except it is about 0
Very nice product concept except it is about 0.1" too long. For my S&W MP Shield, the slide does not fully return and the barrel points up and thus it does not work well for alignment. When I was able to get the slide enough forward, it does help, but the product still kept the slide a bit cocked up since it was not able to fully seat in the chamber. I will have to try with a few other pistols I have access to see how it fits those as well.

All right product but battery life sucks
ProsNot a bad priceLaser is very bright when its on for the first 30secCame with 4 battery but still died in 1-2minsConsBattery Life is not 1-2hrs, its more like 1-2minsThey say to put it in the chamber but don't close the slide. how else would you sight anything in then?Instruction is incorrect. It says to use 3 battery but only 2 fits.As soon as you put the cap on, the laser turns on without even twisting it.

Too long
The cartridge is longer than a standard 9mm bullet and it does not fit in 2 out of 3 9mm pistols that I own.

Can't Do It Without It
We have bought these "bore sight" lasers for all of the caliber weapons that we own. They are far more accurate than the type that fits in the front of the barrel and is for many different calibers. The only caliber that we use the generic bore sight on is our .22cal guns. The .22cal bore sight has an external battery pack because of the size of the round and that makes it less than reliable for good bore sighting. If you shop around for these you will find out that Amazon has them at the most competitive price and shortest delivery time.

Poor fit
It doesn't chamber properly because it's too large to be grabbed by the extractor and allow the slide and barrel to return to their normal position. It will also get stuck in the barrel if you push it too far.Only use this to get a baseline but don't expect good results and use at your own risk

works
just like any of these laser bore sighters....the batteries they ship them with are junk, get yourself a coupla cheap 20 packs and even then they will die pretty fast, how long do you need to sight in a pistol anyways lol
