Not a revised English translation, but this "revised" copy is the one I want for bilingual ministry.
As of 2021, I still haven't seen a revised English translation of these rites anywhere. So I have to accept that this "revised" Pastoral Care of the Sick manual isn't what I was hoping it would be. (It was updated in 2007, while the English revisions to the Missal were published in 2011.) However, it's just the right size for home and hospital ministry and has everything I need. That makes it perfect for now! The cover resembles leather and should be relatively easy to maintain. There's one ribbon included for bookmarking. Price is a little high, but Amazon had the best price when I bought it. Thank you!Contents of this 2007 revised and abridged edition:Communion of the Sick in ordinary circumstances and in a hospital or institution.Anointing of the Sick outside Mass and in a hospital or institution.Viaticum outside Mass.Commendation of the Dying.Prayers for the Dead.Continuous Rite of Penance, Anointing, and Viaticum.Rite for Emergencies.Rite for Reconciliation of Individual Penitents.

Very useful little prayer book
I purchased this book on recommendation from a friend for my clinical pastoral education during the summer. I carried it with me every day to the hospital and have used it often when blessing and comforting sick patients and their family members. Spanish is spoken by many of the patients that I visited so having the Spanish prayers was very useful. The book is separated into two sections: Pastoral Care of the Sick and Pastoral Care of the Dying. There are appropriate prayers for both, including prayers for visits to the sick, communion for the sick and anointing of the sick. Although a few prayers are reserved for the ordained, any lay minister or chaplains can adapt them for use.The English text are always on the left page and the Spanish on the right. It is an almost 1:1 translation for both so I'm actually learning Spanish as I read the English text and then glancing over to the Spanish text.Overall, I find this little book to be pocketable and a great resource to have for all chaplains, whether lay or ordained and priests.

Nice Edition & Addition!
Somewhat noticeably abridged from the totally English edition, but extremely helpful in having the entire Rite in Spanish on the opposite page, where you can cross-reference the Spanish against the English and know where you are at any time.

A great buy and something that is very easy to use
If you are a hospital priest or you are a minister of the Holy Eucharist (Communion) in a hospital or hospice setting you need this book. Each page is in English and Spanish and it is easy to locate the section you need right away and provides steps to follow for the correct process and scripture to assist those who are ill. This edition is soft covered and easily fits into your back pocket or bag. The price here is lower than prices at other sites.

Pastoral Care of the Sick - Cuidado Pastoral de los Enfermos
For a priest or a deacon, as myself, this wonderful little book ispositively marvelous. The prayers are beautiful and perfectly properas recommended by the Church. In addition, if you serve a bilingualcommunity, you won't find a better book. The book is perfectlyorganized. I know people are delighted by the richness of the prayersfor those who are sick, dying or have just died. But there's more:I would have gladly paid triple its price.

Excellent and useful book in English and Spanish
The book is written in English and Spanish with the languages beside each other so you can easily see the direct translation. It is very useful for serving parishioners who speak Spanish and in general, it contains a lot of very good information for anointing and caring for the sick and for their families. Very helpful and useful,
