Beautiful arrangements!
I am towards the end of the Alfred's basic adult level one. I debated which level of Christmas book to get. I am learning Silent night . It is a challenge, but doable and makes me sound like I can actually play piano!! I am VERY HAPPY with it.

Great Christmas Arrangements for Beginning to Intermediate Pianists
I liked this book so much I have purchased it 3 times, once in paperback, once for Kindle, and another paperback to give as a gift. The paperback, shown in the accompanying photos, I fold open and it sits flat on my music stand. The kindle version displays well on my large Kindle tablet, and allows me to carry the music with me easily with all of my other books when I travel. The musical arrangements are just complicated enough, they sound great when played, with both hands busy and lots of broken chords, but simple enough that they can be mastered by advance beginners with an appropriate amount of practice. These make great holiday recital pieces for piano students.Overall, I have been pleased with all of my piano books from Alfred’s, and this is another great addition to my music book library.

Silent night is terrible
Good selection and most alright arrangements for beginners but silent night is terrible. It is dissonant and honestly it sounds more like a mistake than intentional. I can't imagine anyone intentionally playing silent night this way

Weird "Silent Night"
I haven't played through the whole thing yet, but the very first song makes me wonder why modern arrangers have to make "Silent Night" dissonant and unusual. What's wrong with a straightforward, traditional arrangement for early piano learners, even if we are adults? (I do have experience with this--I sing in a community chorus that has performed "Silent Night" every year, with only one arrangement repeated.)

Beautiful versions of Christmas music
I've been practicing the music in this book for about a month. I love all of the versions (except silent night - I don't care for this version of that song.) I love the way these songs sound, and enjoy playing them. I am halfway through level 2 of the course, and can play these songs fairly well after about 10 days of practice. They are great for listening to, but are not sing along versions. You can't play them and have someone sing along.

Excellent
Great two page versions of classics. Excellent and interesting left hand makes each song sound difficult.
