I ordered this kit end November 2018. The kit does not include plants just soil stones etc., so nothing to expire. I ordered the terrarium separately and bought the small cacti and succulents from my local garden centre. the loc

It includes Cacti Soil/Clay pebbles for drainage/charcoal/ reindeer moss & white gravel for decoration It also includes a tweezer/spray bottle and wooden spoon and instruction guide. What is a good size glass bowl for this item buying as a gift and a little in.the dark.on this

My terrarium consists of glass pentagons that roughly made up a sphere. It is about 18cm at its widest and about 15cm tall. I’ve got a bit of compost left over and some of the drainage rocks, as I’ve planted 3 squat cacti and I needed the height.

Can this kit be ised for a closed terrarium ?

Yes. I have a big jar with a lid. Only open the lid once every few months to put in a couple tablespoons of water.
