Read this if you use the SD card feature
I'm not doing a review, there are already plenty of accurate ones. What I am writing about is to mention how to "get around" a "built in" annoyance with the SD card function. The unit plays in "physical directory order" that is different from the way the directory is displayed in your computer. Here is the solution to ALWAYS knowing the proper "song number" mentioned in the documentation.FIRST: rename all the files to have a leading number. eg:01 - First Song.mp302 - Second Song.mp3 etc.SECOND:Google for mp3DirSorter - I downloaded it from "Das Funblog De" - I virus scanned it by uploading it to virustotal and it came back totally clean.THIRD: Install mp3DirSorter and run it, I checked only "Sort Files Alphabetically". Then "drag" the drive letter (it's best to not use subdirs - everything in the root directory) to the program box on your desk top.FORTH: Using your PC "directory view function" obtain an alpha sort (really of the leading song numbers) - print it so you have hardcopy.RESULT: your printout is an accurate list of the songs on the SD - and if you forward to, eg: the third song, it will play what you expect. It would be appreciated if you clicked that this information was helpful - I searched a few similar programs and this was the best. Keep in mind that "song forward" is a BRIEF tap on the lower right button - a long press forwards WITHIN the song - not going to the next song.PLAYLIST FUNCTION (not exactly but similar)You can JOIN a bunch of MP3 files to a single MP3 file (without installing any software!) on site audio-joiner - you upload (via copy/paste) a bunch of songs (as a batch, need not be "one at a time) - then download the "combined" single MP3 file. Kinda like a playlist.Enjoy!Ken

A nice surprise
Why so few portable Bluetooth speakers have built-in FM is a mystery, and why the ones that do are mostly the cheap, no-name, tinny-sounding variety is an even bigger one. Obviously, putting an FM receive in a speaker is easily done, and not a cost issue. With little to choose from, I started buying these FM-inclusive speakers, for the novelty if nothing else - then giving them away just fast because the sound was so bad. I bought the Polaris thinking, "there's another fifty bucks down the drain" (that's what it cost, fifty bucks), but when I heard it I couldn't believe it - rich, full sound from highs to lows... it's a really nice speaker! Where did these guys come from? Why aren't they better known? And there's more - the charger is micro USB, same as my phone charger, car charger etc., so I don't need extra cords; it takes micro SD cards so I can program & play my own music; and (this is amazing) the batteries are removable - easily - so I can buy an extra set (anywhere, not just from Polaris), take them on the road or to the beach, and double the playing time! FM reception is terrific, it pairs instantly, it's plenty loud, the range is good... It's all good! This won't displace your JBL or Bose, or Denon as your primary room-filling speaker, but it's close - and on a nightstand, or a desk, or in the kitchen - anywhere having FM radio would be a big plus - it's perfect. It's a really good-sounding speaker. No other FM Bluetooth speaker even comes close.I don't write reviews, I have better things to do - but this speaker is s such a great value, and I'm so happy with it, that writing this by way of saying "thank you" to Polaris was my pleasure.

Great sounding speaker with long lasting battery!
I bought this speaker because it is one of the very few devices that you can insert a SD memory card into and have it automatically start playing your MP3 music from. The speaker sounds amazing with an incredibly deep bass for its size and its rechargeable battery lasts all night on a full charge. I start playing some soft music around 11pm and it is still playing 9:00am the next morning. The USB charging is super easy, I can either charge it right from my notebooks USB port or my cell phones wall charger. The built in radio and AUX port (and it even supports Bluetooth, which I don't really use much but can say was really easy to connect with for anyone who might want to use BT from their tablet or phone) are also great additions and the radio tunes in digitally and has always had a clear, static free sound. I really love this speaker and cannot find anything negative about it. A great buy!
